I put an X on the boat, but I threw them back on the OTHER side of the boat.   :)

Fished Caddo today from six to noon.  Had five bites and caught five fish.  Three were early on a black Ribbit frog; one came on a white spinner bait; and one on a black neon tube.  Two of the fish were slots and the other three were unders.  Caught all fish before nine in 3-4 feet of water.

Skeeter_bite and his pard caught three weigh fish.  They were in the fish on frogs also, but could not get them to the boat either due to not getting a good hook set or break offs.

Fished caddo sat evening after the rain right before dark for about an hour and caught one bass about 16 1\2 " around the railroad trestle.Fished also again after the rain today from about 4 pm until 530pm  and caught 3 decent fish all in the slot of course on junebug zoom worm.

Fished this morning from about 6:30 to 10:30.  Had a pretty good frog bite going early.  Caught 3 with biggest going about 20" - a good pig.  Missed some other good fish - but with frog, you catch about half of what you set the hook on.  We were in 4-5' of water.  Fish seemed to be in the moss which had some other cover close by - like pads.  Pard had boat motor problems, so we called it a day early to make sure we could get back to the boat ramp.

What part of the lake were you guys on Ranger?
I went to the Tuckers area and caught a few on red shad worms and a couple on jigs around trees but could not get a frog bite going.

Boat roads close to Alligator Bayou.  The bite on frog was early and seemed to slow down later in the morning - black Ribbit worked the best.  We tried Alligator Bayou later in the morning, but there wasn't anything going on there.

RedRanger, I may have found out why we didn't find the fish up alligator bayou that I had been on earlier in the month....when I took my boat in to get fixed, I was told that they have been poisoning the moss up in the bayou.   :'(  Can anyone confirm that rumor?  If so, it may explain why we didn't see the activity that I had been finding there.   :(

Been in Alligator Bayou quite a bit over the past month and have not seen any spraying going on there. But they have been spraying over the past few weeks in Jeems on the La. side, there has been a large patch of Giant Salvinia growing there. :( Was informed last night that another patch might have been found on the north bank just west of Potters, but no sure info yet. Hope they can get a handle on it all.... :shocking:

BIG PAPA

I am with Paul I went up in Alligator Bayou this week and did not see any signs, but they had 4 boats in Jeems for 2 days and 2 boats in Jeems 2 more days spraying the Salvinia and the Hyacinths are brown all over Jeems
Thanks Ranger

Yet another Thursday evening tournament, can't someone try Tuesdays so that I could fish more of them. Already committed to the Cross Lake events and then there are the Red River events on opposing Thursdays and that leaves no room for Caddo  :'(

You are right Mike that is kind of odd. Maybe they want to keep all of you top dawgs from fishing ;D
Works for me though as I am not fishing anything else. ~c~

Finally, finally, broke the jinx Caddo has had on me, or maybe the lake just felt sorry for me......fishing Sat AM, near Potter's Point, sun just coming over the tree tops, white spinner bait on the edge of the grass bed, got a nice slot fish, a dink, then a monster hit, 26.5", 8 1/4 lbs of bass!!!!  What a thrill!!! Biggest fish by several pounds that I've ever seen in my boat, heck, the biggest I've seen outside of a glassed-in pond!

Fished til about 1 PM, caught one more slot fish later near Tar Island on the same thing....tried eveything else after the spinner bait had a chance, and couldn't find anything else they wanted, but I couldn't complain too much......

Man, what a day...makes you want to go fishin' again.....

Red Ranger

Congrat Bondo!  That one fish made it worth the trip.  Let's see a pic!
