BIG PAPA

Hey Papa...

Is Jeems pretty much grassed up above Steve's.  Got a tourney on Caddo in a
couple of weeks and was going to try to head out there Friday and get a little
prefishing in.  This would help me to rule out that part of Jeems if its grassed
up with the lake being low.

Thanks

MMBerryE-mail () me and we will talk, I am not sure where Steves is.
Although it sounds like Brian and Terry are the men on Caddo I do have an idea or two ;D papa
Congratulations Brian and Terry ~c~

Hey papa sorry to here about your accident. I hardly ever check the sites so I didn't know till this morning. I figured Brian would post something when I read your little ordeal. Take it easy it's going to be awhile before they get to feeling better. See you on the water.

From the other reports it sounds like the bite was tough yeasterday.
I fished Caddo in the morning till 1230 or so . Had a few top water bites but most were not really taking the bait (Horney toad) Then when the sun came up and it started to get hot I managed 4 pretty good fish with 2 overs on a white charlie swimbait fishing around grass just throwing into any clear area big enough to work it a little. Same area produced a big string last week. talked to some guys fishing a tourney and they were haveing a hard time also.
I was way back in Jeems

HI Papa, how are you healing up?  Sounds like you must be doing ok if your still fishing.

BIG PAPA

Fogy it is hard to teel someone that has never had a broken rib just how bad it hurts.
But there is one good thing "it only hurts when you breath" :'(
Seriously when just standing and fishing it is not to bad.
but when you have to work for a living like all of us you do what you have to do and just put up with it :help:
papa :-X

Railroader

well if you would go fishing with me i can show you...  :roll2:

BIG PAPA

Brian did you get your bearings fixed?
papa

Railroader

yes went to tiger axle bought a new hub already put together just bolt it on, so im taking the misses out in the morning to cross so i'll see how it does..

BIG PAPA

went to Caddo this evening from 5:30 to 8:30.Consistantly catching 2-3 overs in the grass. Can't get a bite going in pads unless there is real heavy grass which is strange this time of the year on Caddo. Had 3 overs tonight that weighed 11.2 lbs. all came on a white 4 inch Charlie deep in the back of Jeems. and missed a hookset on a GOOD fish :'(  most casts are wasted because of the grass but when you can work the bait a little ways you have a good chance of catching a nice fish. Pretty frustrating fishing, might be hard to have enough patience to do this in a tourney. :-[

Will the real Caddo lake please stand up >:D
Got all excited cause of the storm supposed to come this evening and went to Caddo this morning. Actually caught a small over on my first cast missed a fish on my second and caught a good slot on my third cast. I then went about 2 hours before catching a dink and a couple of slot fish at another location. I then went 2 more hours without a bite and loaded up and came home. What few I did catch early was on a Horney toad and the other 3 came on a 10 inch red shad worm off of trees. :'(
Oh well
papa

Well at least your fishing Papa how are the ribs?  I sure hope your feeling better, I don't know what I'm going to do when I get as old as you cause my body is about shot now!   :roll2:

For real how are you doing?

BIG PAPA

To be honest it hurts like heck but there is nothing I can do about it so I just go with it. :'(

Terry and I fished the north caddo football tourny tuesday, we caught a lot of fish but just couldnt get the big bite? we had 1 over 2 under= 6.65 it was good enough for third place.our big fish was 3.65. first place was just over 8lb big bass was 4.15lb. i lost a over that would have won it for us. i just wasnt ready because he hit it right when it hit the water didnt get a good hook set. the grass is really getting out of hand you have to fish right in the boat row. anyway maybe next time. but we will be in the paper again.. Third Place..  ~c~

Good job guys.  All this winning you two are doing is almost like a second job!  :roll2:

Trey

Has anybody been doing any "frog" fishing in the pads?  That is some of my favorite kind of fishing! ~gf

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and you'll never see him again!

Railroader

Terry and I fished cad do last night in the North caddo football tourny.  :'( well we didnt do as good as we have been doing in the last tournys we didnt bring in a weigh fish.  :shocking: yeah i know.... terry did get 7 or 8 bites but all slot fish. but we were not the only ones that had trouble. the winning weight was 10.10 big bass was 7.5lb second big bass was 7.2lb so two big fish was brought in. we have a 10+ pound lead going in to the championship on the 19th so all we need to do is bring in fish and i think we will have 1st place.. so keep your fingers crossed.. ~c~

Rickoos

Thanks rick, we need all the support we can get.. :help:

Railroader

well terry and I fished the North Caddo Football tourny on caddo today 5:00pm till 8:30PM we could only manage 3 unders. i guess we need to learn not to be so hard headed, not to keep running back to the same ole spot that didnt produce for you the weeks before and that cost us alot of time.. tonight was the championship and first place 14.15lb they had one over 7lb and a 6lb and a under. we didnt win the championship but did win overall title with 26.67lbs.  ~c~  i look forward to next year. p.s TCTC look out.......

BIG PAPA

Still a job well done I for one am proud that you guys represent the TCTC.
Next year maybe I can rearange my schedule so I can fish on tuesdays, then I can follow you guys and learn a little about Caddo. I have not been for a while , I guess it is hard to find a place that is not solid weeds.
