Papa...If your having trouble finding fish on Caddo Lake...then the rest of us
should just give up fishing all together. What's a bad day for you on Caddo...

I have not fished any place I would fish a tourney since our club tourney so I do not know right now. I do suspect the pads will be the key in 2 weeks though.

Come on guy's you don't need a pattern on Caddo. You crank the big motor up, run about 5 miles in any direction, look at either trees or grass maybe some pads mixed in would really help. Put the trolling motor down, and cast your ass off. It would help if you could follow that guy in the big skeeter boat that was catching the heck out of the fish the other day. We couldn't get close enough to see what he was throwing but we'll be near where he was at on the 7th. See you on the water.

late post but i fished caddo monday night from 10 till 3 and managed about 10. all but one fish came on a black horny toad. every one of the 10 were in the slot.all the fish came around grass with deep water close buy. just want to know when or where the big fish are biting.

Fished Caddo for a little while this afternoon,. went up in jeems and fished a watermelon fluke over and beside grassbed edges. caught several nice fish but mostly slots, main thing is they were in 6-8 feet very close to the channel.

Fished Caddo today from 0530 till 1100. Caught several nice slot fish on a buzzbait up by governors ditch. Managed two more on a horny toad, but missed a REAL nice one. I was on the phone with my g/f and had a hog just explode on it. We also caught one on a senko. Our fish seemed to be close to the channel like yours Papa.
We also caught one real nice flathead cat. My buddy grabbed him from under a boat ramp. It bit his foot when he first walked up to the hole. Once he got his hand in there it bit him again and pulled his glove off, but he pulled it out and it splashed around like crazy and broke free from him. We waited 10 min and tried it again and he came back and we got him. He weighed a little over 20 pounds! It was all in all a pretty fun day!

First the good news , caught about 8-9 good fish this morning on Caddo,.
most came on a frog in heavy grass, (coontail and batterwort) back in jeems. had 3 overs but nothing big.
Now the bad news. as I was loading I went to step over into the boat, I was using the guardrail at Petes camp to steady myself and as I leaned over to step into the boat the guardrail came apart and I fell on the trolling motor ribs first . Broke one and fractured another, quite painful if I do say so.
Neverless I am planning on being there Sun. , do not know if I will fish but I think I will be able to at least some.

Yes I was alone, not even anyone at the dock to help me load the boat. It was Ok till I tried to wench the boat on, and I do not mind saying that was BAD

Terry and I fished caddo today from 5pm till 8:30pm in the North Caddo tourny. we had 1 over 2 under with 9.06lb with a 6.44 kicker good enough for first place and BIG bass. next one is in two weeks. the wind was brutal we caught three unders by 6:30 so we ran to our spot that won it for us last week and the wind was so bad it was tough fishing it. but we got lucky and caught the 6.44. so that makes two in a row

so check your sunday paper and we'll see ya on the lake.. later

Hey Papa...

Is Jeems pretty much grassed up above Steve's. Got a tourney on Caddo in a
couple of weeks and was going to try to head out there Friday and get a little
prefishing in. This would help me to rule out that part of Jeems if its grassed
up with the lake being low.

Awesome! One tourney is hard enough to win but two in a row is amazing...Way to go fellas...
