Ron Fogelson

Boy that sounds like the lake might be turning on, but like you said 3 baits 3 fish.  Could be great or could be very hard to find a pattern.

Railroader

Congrats on that hawg last week. Looks like you and Terry are doing well out there.

I see railroader has beat me to the punch to tell you about the fish I caught the other day. All were caught on the senko. Single trees. What a blast.

Mike Cork

Alright you two, one of you is going to have to take me out there next week :-* I will be ready to stick a pig by then ~c~ I am off until the 22 of April for R and R, that means fishing to me :roll2:

Been catching some decent bass mostly shallow in the weed/tree mix, but if you really want to have a good time go deep into Big Green and simply swim a senko or fluke across the surface of the grass in the far back holes in Green Break and you can catch all the jackfish, bowfin, and some bass you want. Took some clients out today and finished up there the last 2 hrs. and wore out the trash fish. lo Caught a 14 lb. bowfin too. with about 25 good sized jackfish and about 7 small bass in those last 2 hrs.
   Later all

Mike Cork

Thanks for the update Paul, them trash fish sure can be fun too ~c~

BIG PAPA

I went out this evening for a couple of hours and found the Jacks also. I have been itching to fish a frog all winter so I started right at Mr. Petes camp up in Jeems. There is tons of duck moss on top of the coontail. I could not keep the jacks off of that thing. I did not actually boat that many , maybe 7-8 fish but if there were any bass in there the jacks beat them to the bait. Finally put the frog down just to get away from the jacks. Ended up catching a couple of small fish on a Senko

Terry and I fished caddo yesterday ended up with 11. biggest was 4lb we are just wearing the 3-4lb bass out, cant find any big ones except that 8lb. march 30 we caught our first POP-R fish of the year. they didnt hit it hard the bottom just fell out. but fun anyway.. we caught fish on senko, lizard, brushhog,pop-r. we fished from 10-dark. mike i start vacation on the 8th so if your up to it would like to take a trip with ya. but will have to stay away from the secret spots. you understand..  :roll2:

Mike Cork

I will definately be up to it, I guess if you are going to be chinsy, we will have to find some new secret spots :roll2: Looking forward to chatting and fishing, shoot we both have the same scare to talk about now :roll2: Papa, I want to go with you too, even if we just go pitch worms and jigs to trees and shot the perverbial will you know.  ~c~

Fished the Po-boys open bass tournament and the Shreveport Police K-9 scramble tourney this weekend. We won both with 23.5 lbs and big bass in the k-9 tourney(5.18) Most fish came shallow(1-3 ft) on a 5 inch junebug V&M chopstik(senko) Had our limit of over the slots by 9 am, caught a total of 12 bass with 7 over the slot and 5 slots. Was real slow after about 10 am. Heard that Jeff Pate and partner won the Media Bass out there with a 24 lb. stringer and 10 lb. kicker, he supposedly lost one that would have been over 12. All our big fish were empty of eggs. All for now, see you on the water. 8)

Trey and I fished Caddo Sun. after the front moved through Sat it was slow Sun.We caught a couple early on a Gorilla Buzzbait but they shut down quickly. After pounding trees with jigs for a while we went shallow with senko's and centipedes and picked up one here and there for the rest of the afternoon, ending the day with about 5 dinks and  5 slot fish and 1 over that was about 4 lbs. They were mostly on shallow grass near the banks around potters.

BIG PAPA

I fished Caddo today in the S&S tournament. Weighed 19 lb.s and did not even cash. Rick Evans and partner won with 24+ lbs. there were 2 - 24 lb. strings along with a 22  a 21 and a 20. I guess Caddo is healthy. :-[

Mike, I can tell you what isnt working......  lo
I talked to Papa on the phone earlier and he made a great point .The good fish were caught before the front pushed all the way through this morning, making for an awesome bite ...Once again our club gets to deal with post front conditions wherever we fish....:'(  We caught a ton of slots today on a weightless Senkos and frogs . We caught four slots between 17 and 18 inches  ~rant before 8 am and we got there about 6:25.

Mike Cork

Gotta love the slot fish >:( and yet I woudn't know what to do if we didn't fish post front. Maybe we can go to caddo and play with the front and florida bass, yeah that will be fun :roll2:

I actually had a limit before 8:00 , but caught fish all day, took 11 fish before I had a limit then the slots took over. It was amazing how aggresive they were for about 2 hours. Can't give out any pattern till after the draw for our tourney tomorrow, although the front probably took care of that anyway. Trey and I will not be there for the drawing, I will call Mike at about 5.
papa

Mike Cork

Wow, never thought I would hear that from you :roll2: Looking forward to seeing you and Trey tomorrow, where ever we fish :-\

Fished Little Toledo Bend today in the TCTC tournament.  Only managed 5 fish all day....4 on a white spinnerbait and 1 on a pumpkinseed/chartreuese lizard.  Somehow it was good enough for 3rd place.  Tough day...but it is expected...its Caddo.  Instead of filling it up one bucket of sand at a time...lets just blow the damn and let it drain eventually into the Red River.  lo
