Hey Mike,

If you scroll down, I posted JR's fish the other day in this thread.  Is that the fish you wanted to see, or the one at BPS?

Fished Caddo this weekend.  I caught a 6.1# on a Rat-L-Trap (Chrome and Blue), in 4 feet of water over some grass beds.   ;D  Clint caught a 5# on a Wobble-head worm in 4-5 foot of water over the pad fields.  :D A few other dinks and a lot of jack fish rounded out the rest of our catch.  We released the fish to catch 'em again another time.

I fished Caddo Sunday and did not do so good we caught a 4 pounder on a fluke and then two slot fish on a rouge. Switched to a rattle trap and caught a few jack fish. Others on the lake did real well with the rattle traps.

Fished caddo Sunday in The Club tourn. had a very good day, must have pulle a red rattle trap for at least a thousnd miles, but can't really complain.  My part. and I had 3 overs, two slots and 1 under, weighed 18.1 #.  All in all was a good day, just find wome lilly pad stems, tie on a red rattle trap and cover a lot of water.

Todd

Where would be a good place on Caddo to locate some good grass beds? I have found a few on the La. side but I have not fished the Texas side much.

Trey

There are some grass beds on the East side of Twin Island and also along boat road FF.  The West side of Tar Island also has some grass in it.  I haven't fished it in a while, but the North side of Big Green Break also should have some grass.  Hope this helps!

Went out to Caddo yesterday. We fished from 9 to 5 with one slot fish and my buddy caught a nice 5.5#er by Big Green. We did fish a lot of new water in Texas.Jig and Tubes caught the two fish. Jackfish biting good. One guy told me he that all the Bass must have went to the super bowl. Anybody go out yesterday.

Yeah, I was out there.  I caught one slot fish & 5 jacks, on a Rogue.  Slow day for me.  I worked my main areas with a craw bug, trap & other stuff, but got no takers.  Finally ran over to Crip's & fished that shallow vegetation right there in front of the camp, which is where I found the fish.  It's jack city over there!  :o

I fished it on Saturday.  Caught a 3.1# on a black buzzbait, and a 2.5 # and 1.5 # (slot) on a gold rat-l-trap.  Water temp was 45 and the bite was slow.  I heard that all you needed to get a check in that Big Bass Classic was a 4# fish.  All my fish were caught on the NorthWest side of Big Green Break.  Did anybody else fish that tourney/how did you do?

Caddo was HOT today! caught 6 overs mostly on a jig although a couple of the REAL long ones on a spinner. Kinda funny how five of the six were very long and skinny with sharp teeth, wonder what kind of BASS those were. Oh well at least one was a nice fat 7 lber. :P
After the rain started the jacks turned on and it was soooo cold I almost quit. then I got the big one on a black jig and just forced myself to stay till dark, shoulda gone right then :'(

I was celebrating we got my mother in laws stuff moved in the nursing home last night about 10:00 then we took her over this morning.

Mike of course all the jacks really came on a dark spinnerbait, but the only Bass the 7.1 came on a jig .
the tree was in 4.5 ft on a tree just off the creek. in Jeems close to a little deeper water, my hands were so cold that the fish almost had to jump in the boat with me before I knew it was on. :D
water temp is 45

Caddo is finally full. Caught nine this morning, real, real, shallow.  Water temp 45 degrees.
Sit Down, shut up, and hold on!

GEO

Great job.  How did you catch them?  Was it on your special rogue?  Man you really don't have a job.

I have a pretty good wife. She took the kids to school, and that gave me about 3.5 hours before work. I  caught  the fish on a blade real early, not one over.
Sit Down, shut up, and hold on!

Has anyone fished caddo Fri or Sat, I will be going tommoorrow, looking for a report.

mmberry72

Hey Mike...this report is probably late for you so sorry.

Fished Caddo on the 21st...Club tourney and while conditions
were not tough...the fishing was. Started out early with one
under around Jap Island and thought this was going to be the
day but I quickly found out otherwise when my next fish did
not come to nearly 1100am.  Fished Big Green Break without
any luck...couldn't believe it.  Went to Old Folks Playground
where the water looked terrible but caught three more...
two under and on in the slot. Finished the day near a group
of trees near Potters Point and did quite well with another
3...2 under and one in slot.  Finished 3rd with the biggest fish in our tourney coming in at a little over three pounds...never
would have told me that in the later half of  February.  Several
other tourney's going on as well including Rodbenders...Caddo
and Websters.  It was my understanding that not much weight
made it in Websters and I believe the winning stringer for the
first half of Rodbenders two day tourney was 8 and some change.  Water temp ranged from the mid 40s early to mid 50s
at weighin time.  Did my best on rogues and senkos fished
very slowly...no luck with the trap but did not try it much.

I am looking for the current water temps and conditions on Caddo. We are heading down next week for a full week of fishing on Caddo or area lakes like Lake of the Pines if Caddo is not producing. If anyone could help with the temp and water clarity I would greatly appreciate any info that you can share. We have been on Caddo every year for the past five years and know the lake fairly well. The water conditions on Caddo can change for the good or worse in just a few days and in our trips we have pretty much fished every scenario that Caddo has to offer. Love the lake but it can be a tough one to pattern. If anyone needs info on Table Rock or Beaver give me a shout I am on those lakes every few days.

If we need to be on a different lake I am always open for a new challenge.
