We know we will be donating but what the heck it will be fun .

Youre so full of it.......We know we will be donating? Gimme a break . I will be there to donate.....unless my deep C-rig fish are there at that time of the evening. If that is the case my partner and I will gladly accept your money.  lo lo

Well Papa last year in the team division we were having 10-15 boats usually....and i expext the same if not more this year from the feed back ive been getting... not for sure yet but we may decide to change the dates where they will be on the opposite Thursday of Cross Lake tournaments, I know that will help a few people out...but we are for sure to have the first one on July 13.....and as far as those big fish go...not many here lately.. but thanks anyway for your confidence in me  lo

I pulled a 5.3 out of Caddo this last weekend, but my scales aren't far enough off to make the leap to 8 pounds  ;)

Congrats on the fish, Bondo  ~c~

By the way, I agree with all that talk about the length.  The last 8 pounder I caught was on Fork and it was right at 24 inches.  Maybe he was just a little fatter than your 26 incher.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Hey Nick....I'd like to fish the Caddo tourny's also.....just a note, if you have an old Cross lake schedule it is off by a week...The schedule for July on Cross is the 13th and 27th...I believe those are the correct dates......hope you can set the tourny's on different week...

Can't stand it no more...Got my "honey-do's done for the day so heading for Caddo for a little late afternoon and night fishing....I'll be mainly on Big Cypress in my little grey Alumaweld...Say howdy if you come through... :)

Got on the water about 1630 and bite was on pretty good...launched at Johnsons Ranch on Big Cypress and fished mostly that area and back toward the lake..

All my fish...7...were caught before dark...4 slots up to 16.5" and 3 keepers..all on red shad worms...

Not a single bite after dark...through buzzbaits, spinners, and worms...not a bump so shut it down about 2300..

Now..where to next.. :)

Your trip was definately better than mine, Scottie.   ~xyz

I got up this morning to head to my holes on Caddo, and at 4:30am, I got a rude surprise.  Someone stole my truck during the night.   :shocking:  If anyone happens to see it running around, I'd be much appreciative of the heads up.

It's a 2004 Toyota Tundra...beige...with a Mudbugs sticker in the lower right of the rear window, and a hockey puck seemingly sticking out of the glass just above that.   :help:

Hawgwild

Crustaceous that is so sorry....Where was it stolen?

Unfortunately it will probably show up in a few day trashed somewhere...

I'll be looking and hope things work out for the best...

I do hate a thief...

Stolen out of my driveway...Southern Hills.  We NEVER have any crime in our neighborhood.  One of the quietest places in town.  Ya just never know.

Funny thing is that I was glad when a policeman moved in across the street recently.   PoPo  I figured his squad car was good insurance against crime.  He was out on patrol last night though, so I guess it was less than a deterant.  Oh well.  The thief left all 9 rods & reels and tackle in my boat, along with 8 life jackets, anchors, first aid, fire extinguisher, extra props for trolling motor and outboard, and multitudes of other stuff.  It could have been worse.  The only thing in my truck was a few CD's and work stuff.  I think Sherwin-Williams will be able to absorb the loss of some color decks and the like.

It's gonna be harder than all get out to pull my boat with my wife's Hyundai XG350, though.  Sure wish they would have stolen THAT vehicle instead!  lo

Hawgwild

Well...hope it does turn up and not headed for Houston or worse...chopped..

My son lives off Plum not far from Bert Kouns...he's had no problems but have had a few undesirables move in...getting tire of basketball's and loud music in the middle of the night though..

Same here Scottie, I live over by Southwood and just here in the last couple of years I have had a few neighbors move in I didnt care for, one family in particular 3 houses down thinks they have to have a party every other weekend and they have like 30 cars up and down the street and all parked in there yard. They have 3 generations living in there I think all and all about 10 or 15 people mostly young kids running up and down the road playing basketball. Used to be quiet around here. Time to move I guess ~xyz
I caught you a delicious bass!

Crustaceous

Got my truck back.  I'll be back to fishing in no time!   ~c~

They only drove it about two miles.  Left a hand-held GPS unit in it, left my radar detector, polarized sunglasses and even my quarters, dimes and nickels in the change thingie.  They took a digital camera, but it was on about it's last leg.  You couldn't even review the pictures on it anymore.  There was a ring in the ashtray that might look worth something...but the wife says it is one that cost a whole 5 or 6 bucks.  They didn't even hardly burn any gas out of it!   ;D

Now...to find a customer to take fishing this week, so that I don't have to take a vacation day.  Did anyone catch anything at Caddo this weekend?

Fished Caddo from 5pm to 8pm yesterday. We fished trees with pads around them ,I caught a 17 inch slot on a 14 inch worm in 3.5 foot of water. The water where I fished was very stained to muddy and water temp was 90-91. I did not go to any of my normal summer spots....saved them for this evening.  ~gator
