A buddy of mine that I have worked with for the last four years is leaving Korea in a few weeks and heading back to the States. I was lucky enough to help him lightening his load of a bunch of stuff before he leaves, with one of those items being a well used but decent condition Weber Genesis grill.

Time for me to get looking through this board for ideas on what and how to cook on this thing.

Any ideas also welcome in this thread   ;)

You have inherited yourself a great cooking platform there! Steak and potatoes? Yeah baby!!

Do not forget fish on the grill, but go get one of the two piece clam shell style fish baskets.  It makes the fish so easy to manage. They have a long handle you leave outside the grill and just lift the lid and turn the entire basket.  Just add a few skewers of veggies and you are in for a great dinner.  All I did was add a little
oil and some McCormick's Lemon Pepper seasoning.

I cooked for years on a Weber and miss it!!!

My favorite was Kabobs. Chunk some meat or chicken of choice (I did beef most) and then dice some peppers, pineapple, and other vegetables skewer them on a giant chop stick and lay them on the grill, rotate every few minutes and then enjoy!

Medium rare steaks - season to taste, 8 minutes on first side (don't move them unless there is flame) flip for 4 minutes. Remove let stand two minutes on room temperature plate!!! Enjoy!

Shrimp on the Barbie is always awesome too. But lay down some foil so they don't fall through  :-*

Let's see, rotisserie chicken, pork loin, turkey, smoking almost anything, grilling lots of meats, seafood, veggies, fruit most anything. If you can bake it, roast it, spin it, broil it, etc, you grill it or smoke it and a weber is a great tool to do it with.

Good suggestions so far, thanks guys.
I'm off work for the next 10 days and my mother and sister are coming over here for a short trip, so may have to fire up the grill.

Weber grills are simple cheap and haven't changed in years. And yet they are just one of the best grills you can get!
I'm not great at grilling tbh, but my one specialty is steak. I can grill steak pretty decent if I do say so myself. One thing that will help you grilling anything is a good fast reading meat thermometer.

When I was in Dahlgren, I worked with a fellow from Korea. He'd get Korean shrimp from a market in DC and bring us for lunch occasionally, those things were dang near as big as 1lb lobsters!

Get or make a smoker box Steve. You can even use heavy foil. Soak the wood chips, put them in foil, poke some holes in it, and put over one of the burners.

Yep!! Soak them for an hour or so, wrap em. poke holes in the top, put on a burner, smoke the food, when cool pickup and toss in trash, do it again when you smoke again!! ;D ;D Easy peasy!!!
