Pssh, cool footage captured. Fishing... nada.

The park is a trail system. I was hoping for some luck. Via the drone I learned it is nothing but thick vegetation just under the surface. Still nice to look at. Walked about a 1 mile as well. It was fun regardless of the no fish.

Zamguy  wanted me to send all you guys a big hello. He's in Texas right now, and is about 60 days out from returning back to FL.

Went out and fished in the rain today, was really good cover to sneak into an apartment pond that has fish but won't let you fish. Threw a Wacky Worm for an hour, caught 10 fish most were 12 inches one was almost 13, and another was 16 and a half. Missed quite a few too. The bite was really on in the rain. That smaller one was really dark, I have never seen one that had black lips like this one!

I just figured they wouldn't bother in the rain, it was pouring at one time. I had my poncho on so I didn't get too wet.

Someone needs to cull some bass from that pond. See how descended their bellies are, they're starving. Seriously!

Went to my friend's family lake house on Redwater Lake south of Melrose with the intention of fishing today, staying overnight and socializing, and fishing again tomorrow. Got there at first light this morning and fished until about 10:30, with only one bite, a solid 5lber that came off. This lake has lots of big ones, but all the fish there are very hard to catch. I've never had good numbers there.
Went back to the dock and had breakfast with my friends, hung out for a few hours and had a few beers. Around 2:00 I headed back across the lake and at 2:30 a thunderstorm rolled in. Ducked into some trees in the swampy area of the lake and hunkered down for about 45 minutes. When the sun came out I continued up the shoreline, throwing a frog and flipping patches of vegetation. Made it back to where I missed the big fish earlier, and when I flipped in hooked up with a 6-pound 8-ounce. My friend was nearby in his boat and shot the pictures.
At this time, dinner was ready, so we headed in. Got all my stuff ready for fishing tomorrow, took a shower, had dinner and was looking forward to an enjoyable night hanging out with my friends. Then I remembered I hadn't arranged for my dad to come over to my house and take care of my dog. I called him and asked if he would do it, and he said " sure, where is the key?" Uh oh. Had to pack up and leave to come home. The good news is, Rio is fed and got to go potty, lol. I may head back down there later this week.

Lol, yeah, it would have been terrific if I could have stayed. I was excited to fish tomorrow. Oh well, there are things I should be doing here in town anyway. My friends are having more family and friends down there for the next few days (full house), so I will probably wait until Sat. night to go back, so I will have a bed to sleep in.

West6550

Sorry you missed out Tress.

Also I seen this online and had to share lol

I've had a double.. never this many lol

I paddled around the house when I got home and fished for about 25 mins or so.

It is smooth and just moves right along. It is surprisingly easy to paddle. It is stable enough for me to stand up at 41". Not as stable as my last boat lol but it will work. I am sure I will get used to it as well.

I can already see my fishing style changing. I will be fishing much slower as you can't fish and paddle. It is more like a dock lol, move fish here and repeat.

I am sure that to will improve. Off to steak and a local band!

cport

So how do u like it?
