I have been keeping quite trying to get over my embarrassment of us southerns getting out tails kicked in own our home waters. I have to say I greatly enjoyed the tournament and am looking forward to a rematch.

At least I can take comfort in that one of us from the old folks home won. Way to go, PAPA, make those young guys sit up and take notice.

As I think back on all the salt water fish we caught north of the salt water dam I wonder if enough salt water got up the river to alter the bass bite.

I thought of that myself Wildcat but we went up above White Oak park and I know the salt water didn't get that far up. I think all the rain and all the water coming from Bundicks lake messed things up. The simple fact that we were having a tournament is all the reason we need for the fish not to bite.

It was tough fishing, but I bet I will be back over there fishing very soon! It's a very nice river system.

:-*Well, if my rig sells, it might be a while before I get to fish it, but, I can always fish from the bank, unless Rattle or Wildcat will take me fishing!

I will also take a weekend off and just relax at home if the office & the beepers will let me!!!! This weekend was more like work than fishing! But then, you got to take the bad with the good!

Even fishing that is tough and may seem like work is still better than the daily grind

Everyone is licking there wounds even a member of the winning team, now that shows you that it was tough. But thats fishing, we were all on the same playing field, some of us just got lucky....

I wanted to thank two more people that made this tournament and the Saturday super go smooth. Thanks Keith Kibodeaux for getting the food together and a thanks goes out to Sean Richard ( Coach) for checking everybody in on both days and being the weigh master for the tournament. Even though Sean had to go to work Saturday he got up early in the morning to check us in and came back in the afternoon to weigh our fish. Now that's a dedicated member.

I think you better thank your wife for us as well since I know she spent a lot of time running around for us as well. Please let her know that we really appreciated all of her hard work as well...

I would like to echo everyone else who said that the event was a great success. I enjoyed meeting everyone and had great fun.

As promised, here is a link to my GPS trail that shows the location where we caught our fish. The area was loaded with shad and I think the fishing is only going to get better there in the coming weeks. I hope all you lockjaw guys catch some fish there.

Love the pictures guys. I loaded a couple and didn't like the way they came out so I'm going to have Laurie do some magic and make them disappear. When I get them right I will post all of them.
