I am just catching up on the post.  I haven't logged on in a while due to work and a little trip to Venice  ...I still haven't heard from anyone about the extra spots in our cabin.  If any of you want to claim a spot give me a call at 601-395-2131. 

I'll be checking in more often as the day gets closer.  In the meantime I need to get the redfish stuff out of the boat and put the bass stuff back in...

Hey Bassadict69,

No, we have not found a good map yet, everyone that we have found was of Calcasieu Lake and not river. We did download some pic's from the map site that Rattle told us about. I will have them with me come the weekend and I will make a few extra copies.

How far is the salt water line from where we will be? A guy I work with said we should try to run down there & fish if I have time & it isn't too far. Not for the tourny...just to fish!

Bassadict, you do know that if you go below a certain "line" then you have to have a saltwater license too.

The salt water barrier is only about a 10 minute run from where we will be camping and launching from. Noble is right you will have to have a salt water license if you go past the barrier. With the very small amount of rain we have gotten over the past month the Lake might actually be good for specks and reds.

If I have the extra $$ for the license, I may have to try it. That is what my coworker was saying about trying for some reds.

We may have to leave REALLy early friday!
