Ahhhhhh! One "BIG" Happy "Kissing/Fishing" Family! :P  Now that's what I call Fellowship!

Seems everyone is getting pumped up for this special event! You guys & gals just don't know what a turning point this is for me & the wife! But thanks a million!

Ricky

One good example, I ask the wife if she wanted to drive over to the Park and launch area Sat. morning to see the place, she stopped and looked at me, and said, why don't we take the boat over their and fish some since we are over there! Kool deal! I was waiting for some of those French cajun words to come out, but was I surpised!
"Man", why didn't I think of that! Things that make you go hummmmm????????

Rickoos!!! Sounds like you have her hooked on the ole bass fishing drug!!! Good Deal...

Laurie and I fish together as much as possible and both enjoy it very much when we can. I am lucky she likes fishing or I would probably be single by now.

It's all about getting together and having a good time and it looks like we are going to have a blast. Not to mention that big trophy is going to look good in our meeting hall.

Mike Noble

Don't get too attached to that big trophy...better take a picture of it for your meeting hall.

Mike & Laurie,

I just lost a post too!

Up until just 3 weeks ago, I shot .22 Rimfire Match's all acrosss the SouthEast USA, in the American Rimfire Assc. But it was very boring for the wife, sometimes there were only herself or maybe 1-2 other wifes there. Our team work was lacking for sure. Then about the weeks ago a older fellow from Ill. ask me if I was intesting in selling my rifle & equipment, I knew that I just couldn't quit with over 4 grand tied up, so I told him yes, I would sell. He paid he on the spot, I tore his arm off at the shoulder and even paid for his Doctor bill to have it sewed back on. So now instead of loading the shooting gear & equipmemt, it's honey hook up the boat, throw a few "spinnerbaits" in the boat and lets gooooooo! ;D

It's funny how things work out, the next week is when my friend KenMc emailed me and told to check out this site, that he thought that the wife & me would like it, and now the rest is "history"!

Thanks for the fellowship,

Ricky

see ya'll on the water    Now we find out that we all might be kissing cousins! ;D

I have not sold my gear yet but I am also in withdrawal.  I was playing about 200 rounds of golf a year until about six months ago.  The more I fish the less I want to play golf.

I am not sure what is up with the loosing posts thing. I have just posted twice to two different threads and had to submit it twice due to someone typing faster than me and adding their post before I was done but it didnt loose the post it came up and told me to reconsider posting and I just hit the post button again and it went thru fine.

I wonder if it is because we now have the most posts on the board in one topic (even more than the famed Caddo Lake thread). Maybe you guys are just too hot for the forum to keep up with you all....

Richoos, I think it is awesome that you found something you both like to do and can spend time together enjoying life. You should get her an account on the forum, I bet she would enjoy the conversation plus there are hundreds of bass fishing tips from around the U.S. that work all over the U.S. just a great place to learn and ask questions. We are looking forward to meeting you both at the Annaul tournament......

Bass fishing is addictive, be careful it could cause you to loose everything but your boat and equipment. Once your hooked you could live in a tent and drive a 20 yr old truck just as long as it will pull your new bass boat with all you tackle inside.

MotherNature

Rickoos and Wildcat I am sure that if I were not a fisherperson it wouldhave been hard on us but since I am it is absolutly the best thing I can think of to be able to go out and spend the day fishing with my hubby and of course best friend.

I am glad that you have found something that the wife enjoys and you can do together. I would love nothing more than to have all the ladies be as fond of fishing as I am but unfortunatly there are just some men that don't think that ladies should be competitive anglers... That's another story all together and for another time...

Enjoy the time on the water the memories will last a life time :)

Rickoos

Mike,

That sounds Kool, but I want to be the "Boss" and driver/Captain of the boat for a little while longer! Know what I mean, buddy!!!!! ;D  It's that give a foot/ take a yard deal. Pretty soon I'm scare she might be telling me- Hey baby, I'm taking the boat to Chicot, want to come??????? Now that's a scary thought!!!!!!! :D ;D I'm just kidding, see how I could get in so much trouble!!!!!!!!!

Laurie my wife does not fish. My son is my partner.  Also, I am teaching my 8 year old granddaughter. They will have to lookout for her on the tour in a few years.

MotherNature

Wildcat I think it is great that you are teaching your grandaughter, we need all the help we can get when it comes to ladies fishing weather it be for the fun of it or competitively. Some ladies just dont like to fish and that is fine but for those of us that do we shouldn't have to meet with opposition to take part :)

I think that is why I love this board so much because most of the foks here are open to anglers period not to fishermen or fisherwomen but just fisherpersons  ;)

Wild cat I too played 200 or more rounds a year for many years. In fact I bought my house because it is across the street from a golf course.
My wife and I and my son also used to play in every tournament we could find.
I have begun to really miss it lately. Maybe I will go play just to see .

Rickoos you are a lucky man to have your wife want to fish with you. I've tried for about 10 years to get my wife to go fishing with me. She is supportive of my fishing but says getting up at 2:30AM in the morning and staying out till 4 or 5PM is not her idea of a good time. But now my 9 year old granddaughter wants to go and my wife is looking at fishing in a different way.

Crazybass, my wife does not fish anymore.  Years ago what we would do is I got up early and fished till about eight.  Then went back to the landing where my wife and I would have breakfast then the two of us would go fishing.  Worked out well

Rickoos

Crazybass,
It is nice indeed, this is my second time around in life, 1st time the fishing was a one man show, which didn't work out! It's nice to have not only the support, but a fishing partner for life, that is until she starts caughting more bass!  :o ;D
