Mike Noble may have to slow down in the curves, that Nitro probably won't handle them that well. Now for those of you running  boats like Javelins, Rangers, or even Cobras you shouldn't have any problems.

Mike Noble

Don't worry about the Nitro...you will get a good view as you will be...of course...behind me.

LMAO~

Mike they just won't let sleeping dogs lay will they?  >:D You just need to tell them that your little Nitro will do just fine at the erm 35 MPH WOT that was quoted, and it will take the corners ok too.... just as long as you have a hold of the O'shit handle to brace for the bumps and skipppppps..

All kidding aside, those 24 days are going to seem like an eternity. I can't wait to meet everyone!

Thanks Rattle & Mike,

This will be the first, well maybe the 2rd fishing tournment the wife has ever been in, counting the Ala. one in 2 weekends from now. So, if we do or not caught fish, it is just a fun time on the river and like you said, a fun time to meet everyone and put faces to names, and maybe with a little help, I can put her on a fish or to, that's my goal, even if I don't caught, is to get her on a fish or two!

See, Bassadict69, that's how you get that new Nitro, give her all the fish & credit, then that big nice pretty Nitro will follow soon! ;D

My rig will only run 42-45 mph, so there will not be a long haul, unless some nice Nitro is willing to pull me there faster! ;D :D  With the wife, I'm having to learn Bass Boat Driving 101 again in my second life, since she doesn't like the super fast speeds in the curves!

Hope to see you all there,

I really think that after the boat race take off, I will hang around with my dip-net and pick up all the keeper Bass that gets washed up along the bank for the first few 100 yards! ;D :P

Ricky, it looks like you fish out of the same kind of boat as Wildcat. You can follow him, he knows where all the fish are anyway.
Ardent Prostaff

Mike Cork

Richoos, sounds like you could pull the Nitro faster than it could pull you  :o

From what I here, catching a few fish is not the problem catching a monster might be tough. But 12-14 inchers sound like they are very plentyful, thats why this area got picked.

Fishing is more than just a hobby

Shoot Wildcat would probably pay for a 12 incher after his last few tournaments. ;D
Ardent Prostaff

Rickoos

I'm be looking for Wildcat for sure! :D
It would be nice to get on a bunch of nice fish, even if they are small, no better way to pump up than great feeling of our sport than setting the hook on a few fish! Shoot, might get that big ole "NITRO" sooner, you never Know! aa

Rattle, I have decided that I can not night fish. To far past my bedtime I guess.  I might have paid for a fish on Cotile.  But don't count me out on the river, I have fished it a few times in the past.

Jared LeBlue

Oh believe me, I know you can catch fish on the river. If I'm not mistaken the last tournament on the river yall had caught over 20.
Ardent Prostaff

Rickoos

I think I might try and run over Sat. mid-morning and see have things look and fish a little while just to get a feel of the river & area.

Ricky,
I think that would be a great idea, would you let me know if you catch some good ones? I know that we are not going to get to prefish but we can at least hope for some good stories from the ones that do ;)

I am gonna get nervous Rattle if you keep telling stories like that, 20 lbs. I would settle for a good day fishing and that happens everytime I get to go out with Mike.

Laurie

Jared LeBlue

You missunderstood, it wasn't 20 lbs, it was 20 fish. 20lbs on the river would probably be a record. It should take about 9 to 10 lbs a day to win this one. I would not be suprised however to see a 12 lb stringer on one of the days. it will take one better than 4lbs to take big bass but don't expect to see too many that size.
Ardent Prostaff

MotherNature

LMAO~

well that is a little more reasonable  :o I was really getting worried that we would have to catch 20 lbs. on a river where we haven't been able to fish or even visit yet  ;D

BIG PAPA

Shoot , who all wants to go wed? ;D Rattle when will the cabin be available, Trey and I might just take off the whole week >:D
I am ready ;D

MotherNature

Papa,
I am pretty sure that we are only going to get to leave Thursday. I would love to take the whole week off but I am gonna have to find someone to stay with Jamie as it is since we will be gone and she will have to be able to get to work. I don't think that Mike will let her drive the car with just her permit   aa

I know that if we don't go and look this weekend, we will not get to see the place until that Sat. morning of the tournment, that's when we plan on trailering in, maybe Fri. night if all works out.
I will post what we do & find Sat. night!

Richoos,

I will be on the river Saturday Morning, keep an eye out for me. I have a Special Edition (red) 175. Waiting for my partner to make up his mind as to what area we will fish. I do not know how late I will stay with ESPN game day in Baton Rouge, if the fish are not biting good I will probably go home an watch game day and then the TIGERS at 5:00.

crazybass

Is the annual tournament anywhere near Ft. Polk? I told Dundee Mike it takes about 25 hours to drive to Ft. Polk from Maryland. What is the closest town to the ramp? I told Dundee Mike to pack his little carpet bag and if he can get away you never know who may show up. Hey guys we really are not Yankees, Maryland is below the Mason Dixon Line. Thanks, Crazybass

Siggy by DundeeMike

Mike Noble

Ft. Polk is at Leesville, LA.  Moss Bluff is probably an hour or just over an hour south of there.  The closest big town is Lake Charles, LA.  The closest small town is Moss Bluff.

What does the Mason Dixon line have to do with it...people from south Louisiana consider anything above the half-way point in Louisiana a yankee...like Shreveport.  Now that I moved up here, I consider the Louisiana state line (Louisiana/Arkansas border) the cutoff point.
