Hey Rattle, you probably answered this but How far is the nearest Hotel?
I have gotton way to old to do air mattresses and if the cabin holds 6 I see someone on the floor. And if Dan goes I can't see him on the floor either :'(

MotherNature

Papa,
there are actually two cabins, since Bo has one reserved as well. As far as I know he only has his partner and himself in that one so there is still plenty of room.

Rattle, please order one XL for me and one XXL for my partner.

Mike is right...thx for organizing this whole deal.

Jared LeBlue

Papa, there are two cabins reserved, by the way thanks for reserving one Bo that gave me a sigh of relief. If yall end up with more than 12 coming down don't fear Lake Charles is only 10 minutes away and there is no shortage on hotels. I would hate to see anyone have to get a hotel though it's alot more fun when everyone is together. I just got on my guys to get their camping spots reserved.

Thanks that makes me feel better!

Papa, if you could get Daniel to go that would be great.  We have an extra fisherman right now that could pair up with Daniel.

I just haven't been able to stand all the talk on here about this tournament and not be able to go.

Nothing is definate, but I am working on a way that I can go to this. Hopefully I should know in a day or two! Don't go making any boater changes just yet since this may fall through but I am trying!

Laurie, is there a way to put together all the pertinent info on this in one spot. Such as just the posts with the dates, locations, map info, river info, etc.? I know there are 2 or 3 posts in all these with all the info, but it would be nice to have it all on one page.
Just a thought...I haven't had time to look back through all the posts to dig it all up!

Mike Noble

James, here is some of the information...from my memory...which could be a problem.

Dates - September 25 - 26
Location - Calcasieu River, north of Lake Charles
Lodging - State Park on the river

If you look on the left of the fishing reports (navigation area), there is the "Ultimate Bass Annual Tournament - rules".  Click on that and it will give you some of the information.

I sure hope you can make it...the more the merrier.

What is the name of the State park? Is there any online info?

Jared LeBlue

The name of the park is Sam Houston Jones State Park. I put up a link to it on this thread, I believe it is on page 3.

Hey Rattle, has it been decided where we will launch for the Ultimate tournament.

Basic Info:

Dates - September 25 - 26
Location - Calcasieu River, north of Lake Charles
Lodging - State Park on the river
Link to Lodging - http://www.crt.state.la.us/crt/parks/samhoust/Shjones.htm

Ok here is the info on the maps that I found:

Quote from: Bo Crawford on August 05, 2004, 09:25:21 AM
I ordered maps from this guy:

http://www.shiptoshoreco.com

I will let everyone know how they are.

As for the rest of the information it is on this page:

http://ultimatebass.com/annual-fishing-tournament.php
you can look to the left and find the link under Ultimate Bass Annual Tournament

Hope that helps,
Laurie

Right now it is set for Parkside but as you know Parkside is up for sale. I have permission to use the launch and covered pavilion ( the launch by the way is free) but if they sell it before the tournament I will have to get with the new owner for permission, that is why I haven't put a definite location down. If it falls through we will probably use the Moss Bluff launch, or White Oak launch. I would like to keep it close to the camp ground for our Northern friends but weather will determine Moss Bluff or White Oak because of the pavilions.

I joined Map Card and you can make, modify, or do what ever with a topo map that you want. They cover 48 states and it's $14.95 a year. You can download, print or e-mail as many maps as you want. Here's the link www.mapcard.com. I will let Mike and Laurie have a peek at mine when they get here, of course I won't let look too long >:D

Guess I will have to bring my 007 secret watch camera, that way I won't need long ;D

Noble, I guess I can let you take a peek too. ;D. I would print everyone a copy but man does it take a long time to print all those pages. My printer and computer are not exactly speedy. Seriously if you want a copy of my map I can go down to Office Depot and have color copies made. It's 14 pages so it would probably run about $5 to have color prints done. Ok, with that in mind if you are interested in a map let me know and I'll print one up for you. Now if you want it in a pretty binder like mine it's gonna cost extra ;D. Just put in the order and I'll add it to your bill.

Thats okay Rattle.  I can't read maps anyway and I sure can't fold one back up.

Thanks for the offer.

That's the beauty of the ones I make, you don't have to fold them.

Just to note : in the rules we have fishing times starting at 6:00 AM that will probably change because by the time the tournament rolls around it's going to be dark at 6:00 AM. We will adjust the time accordingly when it gets closer. I want to make sure we have safe running light for this one.
