West, post a link to your youtube channel or give me the name.
I'm Not Lost I'm RVing is the channel name. We will hit 200 subs tonight which marks one month. Super happy with the results.

Our website is the same with .com at the end, if you can't find us on YouTube for some reason but it should pop up.

BarryFL

Interesting decision and I wish you the best of luck. Not really a social media enthusiast, so not sure what getting subscribers means. Is there a monetary incentive?

Anyway, I have a backseat open for the classic and an empty bed in the cabin. You're welcome to them.

Subscribers means people watch us, like the videos, and subscribe. They get notified when we release new videos.

Views and subscriber counts mean your channel is good which turns into $. Eventually lol

Thanks for the back seat offer as well! I will probably take you up in that!

Thanks Rick! It is crazy how much we are growing now. It was a slow climb to 100. We were averaging just under 5 subs a day. Now we are pulling just over 15 a day.. 3x increase. I hope it keeps up!

One of my young Grandsons was told by someone that you can make money by posting videos to YouTube and be come a 'tuber. It was all he talked about last summer, he is like 9 and doesn't really have the equipment to do so, yet. Wouldn't surprise me he ends up doing some thing like at at some point.

My understanding of it is IF you get enough subscribers then with the Ads being posted you get income paid to you by YouTube. Not sure if that is how it really works of not.

Hope it all works out for you guys West.

After you have enough subscribers and enough traffic on your videos your views turn into money.
I know they have restructured how to do ads now and I did watch a video of one of the fishermen that made mention of how they are getting shafted by the scrolling ads under the video. Because since they have sponsors they recommend something and the. YouTube scrolls some ads in the description of similar items from other companies.
So I'm not sure how the money thing has changed  but it used to be based on views.

Any time you see a video with ads on it it's being monetized. Videos with no ads generally mean they aren't making money off that video or haven't set it up to be monetized.

Rick nailed it.

The channel has to have 10k views before you can turn on monitazation from ads. The ads are geared towards what that watcher likes. (Think Facebook and stuff you Google shows up in the feed)

Because of that I could see the ad issue ref sponsors.

To break it down the average is 2000 views = $1.00

So a popular video with say 2 Million views will (over who knows how long) will make $1000. Yep pennies lol

The real money is made through affiliate links. So the viewer uses your Amazon link for example for say a fishing hat you talk about in the video. That person clicks your link to Amazon and buys dish detergent or whatever. You will get a % of the sale once it is shipped and received. It doesn't effect the buyer, but pays you because they used your link.

We are haven't decided yet if we want ads or not. Cause they pay so little.

Fred as far as your grandson goes. It is a lot of work and hours. Most people give up after a few months. It takes consistency and quality over time to develop a following and make any real money.

I hope he does it and does well though! It is a fun hobby.

I went to lake Marie this morning and didn't get so much as a nibble.  However I did go to bridgemasters first and got a new rod and reel so that was fun.  I got a 7'3" med hvy enigma rod with a 7:2.1 curado.

The Bitters mega vibe in "sprayed grass". It's a purple/green mix. My favorite color for Kissimmee and Toho.  When we were going from Hatch to Kissimmee we stopped at a culvert coming into the river channel to see if there was any running water from the heavy rains on Wednesday.  I cast up into the buggy whips and she crushed it in about 8' of water. Josh got this 16" one on the east wall of Kissimmee outside of 27 palms.

"sprayed grass", hell that should be common to the Bass in most of the Fl Waters anymore, no wonder they hit it.

Really good fish Lee. It's seeing guys like you hauling in a good one that keeps me going when I'm not feeling it anymore.

We are headed to Wekiwa Springs State Park today for our first RV trip. I plan on taking a fishing rod :-)

Good luck West! Hope you guys have fun!
I'm guessing you are bringing your new LSCR rod.

Hang in there Fred. It's been a tough summer so far for bass fishing. I've gotten to the point where I'm expecting a tough day when bank fishing mostly. If I fish for 2 or 3 hours off the bank, I am looking for 1 fish maybe 2 fish. Then I gotta hope that 1 fish or 2 fish are big enough to help me out in the competition.

I know what you mean, Rick. Past two days, total of 5 hours, 3 dinks, one 13" fish. Its a real grind in the heat.
