I went and looked at Kayaks again today. I am lucky and the best place around is right down the street. Literaly every kayak I look up to "find one near you" takes me to him lol. The owner is super nice and even let us flim and he talked about some kayaks on flim as well. He said with iCast just wrapping up lots of companies going to pedal options. Before only a handful hade the option. So I am going to wait till they come out. The new kayak season starts soon so he was out of a few he had last time. He is waiting for the products to be released. Pretty cool and super nice guy, plus he is local. He was very surprised we were as well because most his sales are Tampa, Orlando or a few hours away lol. He seriously has everything.

Once you finally get your Kayak please post plenty of pictures and a review of it, as well as reasons why you decided to go with whatever model you choose.
I like the idea of Kayak fishing too. It sounds like a great way for me to reach those Saltwater shallow spots I cannot get to with my boat.
I never paid attention to pedal option Kayaks. It makes sense since you could have two means of navigating with it. I like sit-on-top Kayas. There are also those power engines that can be added to most Kayaks.
I'm sure you have done a ton of research, so your opinion would be a valid one.

Thanks! Yea I am looking like crazy. Those engines are $$$ lol

I like the pedal cause for hands are free to cast. I might just do a TM instead, not sure yet. Still thinking. Sit on top is a must for sure though!

I will do a video and break down soon. I got the green light from Mike to post links.

Once I get the video done I will definitely share it here!

Will be looking for that video West and stop working so hard.  lo

Thank you! I'll be looking for that video. I think a write up and pictures would help the video.
Yes, I didn't think about a TM. If I were you I would get a Saltwater model, that way you can do both Freshwater and Saltwater. You never know where your travels will take you. It could be a beach, a pier or anything close to Saltwater, so it pays to be prepared for both.
One idea for a second video/write up would be Kayaks accessories. There are so many that one could go crazy. Your audience might appreciate a little bit of guidance on what accessories are really important to have and which ones are a waste of money.

Awesome ideas! I will definitely share my thoughts and progress along the way.

Even catching 1 fish now is an accomplishment with it being so tough now. Lol

Good luck with the kayaks West. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a hobie i11s, the inflatable standup/sit top. I liked it because of the small storage foot print since I don't have anywhere to store a regular kayak. The only reason I didn't buy it was because I always worry about running into a gator by accident. I wouldn't take it to the glades or anything but you can never tell for sure if lakes have them or not. Don't want a popped kayak lol

That's smart Ricardo, the ones in the residential areas are the most dangerous.  Stupid people feed them! :-*

Well I just have not found the motivation to go bank fishing this weekend so far. Maybe it will come to me later.

I don't feel like driving far, but I don't feel like going to the park close to my house and 1. fish a lake that hasn't produced anything good in a couple months. 2. fish a lake and have to deal with hundreds of people having picnics and playing reggaeton music, which annoys me to no end.

Rick... I hear you. It's been a rare summer. The heat is always a given, but the fishing has been off.  :'(

Went out out this morning for two hours.....  at least the sunrise was nice. Decided I would be more productive washing the boat and doing yard work

Spent 9 days out of state, got back Friday night. Went fishing yesterday evening, and today after the torrential downpour. 1 dink to show for it. Not even a sniff today. Bring on Fall.

Good choice Rick. I was there this morning from 6:30 to 9am. Only had one blowup on a frog but missed the hook set. After that, it was dead lol

Will probably try Amelia during the week after work. Planning to try a new place over the weekend because TP just too hard now

After more months of fighting it then I can count, I'm going to get my eyes checked and get new lenses. Might even try contacts again if they have improved the ones for astigmatism. Of course if I go that route I will probably get Distance ones and have to carry Cheaters for anything up close.

It has got to where I can see to read up close better without my glasses then with---- and the mid to long distance isn't all that good either. Stopped at a Hardees on the way home this last work trip and when I could barely make out the menu on the wall I knew I had to do something.

As to fishing I need to get back out and will sometime this week. Going back to work has really kicked my butt after not working for so long. The first 2-3 hours of every job is hand unloading a truckload of product, panels, wall pins, grid, and what have you that makes up a store. Completely soaked by the time it's done.

Knew it would be tuff and that's why I went for shots in my back & hips prior to going to work. Problem is/was that the insurance companies will not allow the Drs to do all of them at once anymore. Had to get the ones in my low back twice with a follow-up, then get my hips done the same. Low back is feeling great, hips are starting to fire up, I can feel it coming.

Sounds like a lot. Hope you feel better soon so you can get back out there
