Lee, that machine yours or did you rent one there?

Looks sort of like a Yamaha Wolverine in the one pick, except for the seat headrest, so I'm guessing a Polaris Ranger maybe?

Rented a yamaha at the base of the mountain. It was basic but plenty of power. My only complaint was the drivers seat was not adjustable so Amy did not drive much because she was so far from the steering wheel and you really had to muscle it over and around the rocks.

Rick and I are playing hooky from our jobs tomorrow and trying out Lox. Honestly don't know what to expect. Hopefully we can put up a productive strategy considering the high water and this heat!!  ~sweat ~sweat Geesh.

Lipripper

Lou good luck to you and Rick tomorrow out there in all that heat. ~sweat Only going to be in the higher 80's around here tomorrow but if it gets to hot out there we will just have to get off and go back later in the day when it cools off a little. That's the nice thing about living 10 minutes from the ramp.

Lou I don't think its called playing hooky when you have permission to take vacation days lol.  ~bb

I am hoping tomorrow is a productive day. Like I mentioned to you today, if things don't improve I may have no choice but to go the route of a slumpbuster.  :shocking:

Hey Adam, welcome aboard!! I will include you on this month's roster. Pics of your catch will be posted on the FLBR bragging rights thread, as well as declarations for participation. The BS thread is just that, a thread for us to shoot the breeze and discuss outings.

Tragic story. I was at the Holey Lands 2 weeks ago, and they were shooting the whole time we there. I absolutely hate it, every once in a while I hear stray round. Thank you for sharing this sad story strkpr. A few us fish the Holey lands and that could have been any one us. I know FWC is  out  there often, but they shoot out there it seems every time.

Did I ever tell you how much a I hate you?

LOL, not really. Just amazed at how month after month you keep putting up great fish.
LOL, Thanks Fred.
I moved this reply over here to the BS page.
Well, like we mentioned before, it's a numbers game. I am fortunate enough to have lots of time to fish. I don't have kids, my girlfriend is long distance, I'm self-employed, and I have that little boat. The boat is the key, because that allows me to fish the small lakes. I keep these lakes in rotation, and for the past 6 years, they have continued to be productive, thought not as good as they used to be - isn't everything like that?! I also network with other anglers in town and am constantly on the hunt for private water to fish. For instance, the private lake I had posted about is now off limits because the guy who was letting me fish it has moved, but when a door closes, a window opens. The same day (Monday) I found out I couldn't fish that lake, another friend offered to get me access to a different lake. Hope it's as good!
