IDK Man I really do not see any difference in them at all. My first Ozark Trail from WM I did a test with it. Filled with Ice n water then let it sit. 20 something hours later there was still ice in there. That is good enough for me.

In fact I started putting less ice in so I could drink more water as the water would be gone and all I'd have was ice.

The 1st time I put coffee in my 20 oz I out the lid on right away like all my other mugs. BIG MISTAKE. About 20 minutes later I took a sip and BURNT my lips (Upper & Lower) and my tongue. Now I let them sit for 15-20 minutes before I put the lid on. Cools to the right "drinking temp" for me and then it stays there for as long as I'm drinking it. Never have had it get cold.

I bought mine when the 20 oz was 7.99 and the 30 oz was 8.99.  No way will I pay $30.00 for one just because it says Yeti.

I have a rtic 30 tumbler but I also have a 30 canister type with a screw on lid. That thing is even better than the tumbler. In fact last time I used it out on Lou's boat I ran into the same problem you did. My darn ice hadn't melted and I was all out of water by the time I was on the ride back home.

I have the 10oz lowball i use at home for coffee. This has a plastic lid on it with a sip hole. I can let my coffee sit for an hour, and sip it super slow and it is as hot when I am finishing than when I started.

Mini report: Hit the St. John's this morning. Water level is back up with a pretty good current. Picked up 2 on the gold Boy Howdy first thing and had a couple of misses on the popping frog. I caught fish here and there pitching a black/blue beaver and they seemed pretty spread out. I ended up with 9 and most were good quality fish. Biggest went around 4 lbs. I couldn't get to #10. Off the water at noon. Fun day!

Thanks for the report Flats! Not a bad day half day!

Disagree all you want. I said there is nothing wrong with the Ozark or every other fake made out there now. Fact is the lids are not as good. Several tests and videos out there that show it.

Again, is a better lid needed? Not for most people. But it is an option. I don't have to worry as mine are Yetis. The reason I know this is several family and co-workers do this. Not my idea. But I have seen the videos that prove it and heard people talk about it at work and at family gatherings.

Made some new toys today.
Not sure if they work or how well they will work. Considering I haven't caught a fish on a flippin whopper plopper or double plopper. One of my issues with the plopper is I have limited places where I can throw it because if just one itty bitty blade of grass gets caught on it there goes the action.

Enter the BOOTLEG Frogs. Get it? Boot...leg?

Since the Sprinker frog I ordered isn't arriving till later next month I figured why not make something similar.
And so I did!!

I'm gonna try them out a little later and see if those damn picky pond fish will hit these.

Neat idea Rick. But they don't work just cause all the work you put into them lol

Hey Flats, Nice haul, sounds like a fun day.
Rick, I've done similar things with frogs, and caught fish on them. One was a copy of the buzz frogs that are on the market. First day out with it got a very fat 8lber, in the exact spot I'd caught a 7 the week before. Caught lots of fish on them since as well. I've also done something similar to what you did, but with horny toad legs. Used it once, and caught one bass, but wasn't stoked on how it behaved. I love tinkering around with lures though, and it looks like you do too. Good luck on your handicrafts.

But they did...they did...
They all did what they were supposed to do. Now will the original one work better, most likely. But I tried all 3 of these and they buzzed pretty good, displaced water and all floated.

THEN it happened!

I cracked the whip! But instead the whip snapped...my 50lb PowerPro snapped on hookset. It was a big blow up, I felt the fish I laid into for just a split second and then it was all gone.
My all white frog is no more.

The only hit of the day and night.

lol no that is an internet gif. The blow up I got was big but not that big. I don't think my fish came out of the water all the way like this one seems to have done.

Rick, 50lb Power Pro snapped? Had to be a mudfish or something with teeth!

Normally I would say that but I don't think there are any toothy critters in this particular lake.
The line snapped probably half way to the rod. I think I may have had some frayed line.

Aww, halfway to the rod. Definitely a fray or nick.

Fished the Hillsborough River yesterday. Caught a couple, didn't measure, which is an improvement over the past month. Was getting on an outside pads pattern when thunderstorms ran me off at 9:30am. Was going back this morning but thunderstorms were already rolling in at 06:00am. :(

Well at least it's an improvement over the previous month.
The thunderstorms down here have been pretty crappy. All week long.

That line breaking sucks, sorry you didn't get the fish.

I've done some things with old frogs just to see as well. I took the legs off of a Rage Frog and put them on the hooks of a frog with no legs left. It actually worked pretty good. Fished it for awhile, then switched to something else. Still have it in the frog box.

Like we talked about yesterday, sorry the line broke on you Rick. Bad timing. I hate it when that happens. Happened to me the first time I fish Istopoga, had a helluva fish on and snap!!  ~xyz  ~rant

I had planned to go out this morning but when the alarm went off at 4:30 I turned it off and fell back asleep. Kind of sucks but I guess I needed the sleep before hitting the work trail again tomorrow.

I might grab a rod and hit a bank spot or two. One thing I got to see while working in Ft Lauderdale area is all those canals that run along the roads everywhere on the way there and back. There were a ton of great looking places with dams, locks, and what have you.

You guys have some great places to fish down there both from the bank and boat.
