2018 UBCS

We are currently working on times and a host site for the 2018 UBCS. We should be confirming and making an announcement on Thursday July 6th.

I'd like to make a plea that it not be on the first weekend of the month. My regular curcuit fishes the first weekend of the month Feb-Jun and with the slot lakes it's a death sentence for my partner if I don't make it.

However I know you must pick a date for the majority

I am not sure many of the TCTC guys would show up....that would mean a Texas license would be needed...we can't even get the club to go fish Martin Creek in the winter

The only bad thing about fishing Sam Rayburn during the Spring is the WEATHER.....Toledo Bend is the same way.  As we all know North / South winds etc. on TB is the same on Rayburn = Nasty big waves  

One big advantage to fishing Rayburn is there's no boat lanes you have to run.  Its wide open.  There are some places North of the bridge up in the Angelina River that has some stickup and stumps that you have to watch for.

Ok so we tried to move around a little but in fear of both clubs having lower participation we opted not to move. Toledo Bend seems to draw a good number from both clubs so we going to leave it there for another year.

The 2018 UBCS will be held out of San Miguel Park on March 24th and 25th.

Yes you can reserve now. Its a SRA park not a state park however the state has gone to 13 months now.
Also for those that want bigger, nicer cabins the  WildWood Resort is next door to The SRA park. Their number is 318-645-2509.
