Worm I think. I got a picture somewhere. I was standing by the "no fishing" sign lol
So it didn't count. If you catch a fish by a no fishing sign and take a picture of the no fishing sign, the fish doesn't count. So you've caught 0 fish at east toho lol.

Never been skunked at Togo regardless of time of year.

Heard yesterday that they're catching 50 to 100 per outing at Kissimmee in running water. That's why I mentioned earlier that I was interested if water was moving out of the creeks. Hope it's still doing that two weeks from now.

Wow thats a good day of fishing right there! Hope we experience some high numbers, and some big fish too lol.

East or West? I have been back and caught fish at West. East and several of the chains lakes.. nothing. The guys who stayed there months in a row had trouble finding fish during the meets.. so. With big groups going it was always tough fishing for everyone. But I am sure you'd find them.

Hey YA'LL I'm still here!

West, I plan to be there Friday as early as I can. Of course that all depends on what and where I am that week for work.

Lou, I sent those things we talked about to you this morning.

Everyone: I have been all over the state and north as far as Charleston SC and west as far as Baton Rouge LA  in the past month. I was building Halloween Stores for a company but once Irma decided to pound us I have been running Help Patrol for the Company.

We left Baton Rouge for home late Wednesday before the storm hit. Made it as far as Tallahassee and stopped for the night. After a few hours of sleep we were about to head home when the Company wanted us to pick up some plywood and bring with us due to none being here. We had to find and rent a trailer then loaded 44 sheets of plywood on it, filled 5 gallon buckets with lids full of gas for the trip home, and headed south. What a sight to see everyone headed north escaping the storm and us headed south back into it!

Got home late Thursday night and each got our homes ready on Friday. SIL put the plywood up on stores in Orlando area with our boss, while I got our place ready for everyone to come to.

After the storm we took down the plywood, returned the trailer to Tallahassee and on the way back got the call to head back to Orlando to fill a large rental truck with supplies and head to Miami with it to help out with relief efforts there. We loaded and were on our way by 8:30 that night having left for Tallahassee at 6:00 that morning.

Drove until after 11:00 pm and stopped in one of the Turnpike areas to sleep in the seats of the truck for a few hours (there were no hotels available) and headed on to Miami. Got the supplies handed out and took down any remaining plywood before heading back. Next morning we did the same thing in the Daytona & Orlando areas. Finally got back to warehouse to unload whatever was in the truck and return it on Friday.

Let's just say it was a long hours week with very short hours of sleep.

Haven't had the chance to really even think about fishing, but I AM SURE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CLASSIC!

Couple of weeks and it will be here, see you all there.

SIDE NOTE:

With all that traveling I have seen a ton of damage and flooding due to Irma. It will take months and in some cases years for these areas to return back to where they were.

I heard you were in the area, I would have reached out to get together for some drinks but my back was shot.
Man you have been busy as heck! Good thing is you've got a lot of work. Bad thing is you've got a lot of work. lol. How is your back holding up with all this?

Glad to hear Fred. We decided to just stay with our friends right there. Not bring the RV or anything. They offered and it will save us some cash.

Just text me as it gets closer to what time you will be in. We can come over anytime.

Rick I am amazed at how well it is doing. I got shots in the Lumbar and then in the hips and I'm sure that they helped. I did some lifting and exercising before starting and that I'm sure helped as well.

Mostly I just don't have the time to think about it, LOL. Just keep on keeping on.

Thats great news Fred! Hope you stay pain free! As for me, I haven't tried shots yet. Don't want to become dependent on them. For the most part ever since I switched out my work chair, my back has been much better. But every now and then it acts up.

big g

Fred I do know people that the steroid shots in the spine have done wonders.  I had a series of six shots and it did not help.  Physical therapy helped me during my last flair up along with losing 60 pounds.  Any weight reduction can be a big help if your over weight.

30 Years ago I had two back surgeries, ten years apart.  Its really a bummer when the back acts up.  Nothing feels right!  I hope these shots do it for you, I have been pain free for years now.  I hate to even talk about it, so I don't jinx myself. :-\ :-\ :-\

Weather for the classic could be interesting. Winds 10 MPH, 50% chance of thunderstorms, But the temps will be cooler.

Sounds like a typical South FL forecast without the cool weather though... lol!!

BarryFL

The rain I don't mind but Kissimmee basically being a big bowl (just like most Florida lakes) can get pretty rough dependent on the wind direction.

While I'm thinking about it, need a head count for dinner Friday night. I'm going to fish all day and start cooking around 6-6:30pm. Only takes about 30 minutes. And, yes Lou, I will pull you some before adding the shrimp. :)

Time to buy some Frog Togs
I have me a frog tog brand poncho.
My only issue with Frog Toggs is that I am just as drenched from sweat as if I would have just gotten soaked from rain. No difference. lol But then again my body runs hot. I start to sweat just by looking outside from the comfort of my AC cooled home.

The winds are forecast up to 12 out of the WNW. For you guys in the tins, that puts the river around grape and the east wall in play. Jacks slough all the way to 27 palms should be fishable.

Nice to see the Classic Buzz increasing. As far as the weather, we live in FL, weather changes a lot down here. So far, I don't see a threat of a hurricane, and I haven't heard of a big cold front. So hopefully we get our normal weather for a change. What does sound like an issue is the high water. But since us South FL boys only visit Lake Kissimmee once every other year, I can't really tell you whats normal, high, or very high on that lake.  lo

SFL BassHunter

It was really pretty low when West and I went. I'm expecting to see a big difference. Anyways, low or high water, whatever! Just happy to be going.

Thanks for the info Lee. I am working on figuring out what that last sentence means lol
