Mr Franklin!  All on the LT Toad.

Sent from the end of the paved road.....

Way to go Lee, I know that you have been working towards this for quite some time now. Really glad to see you hit that mark!

And you suck, just saying.  :surrender:

Truthfully Tress you have brought a whole other level of competition to this contest. I can count on you to put 100 up almost every month, and that makes the rest of us work harder to get there, good job.

Almost?! lol. Since this is a "bragging" rights comp, I must set the record straight - having done this for one full year now, I've never had less than 100". Several times I've actually culled over 100". Oh, my shoulder! I just hurt it patting my own back...
Seriously though, thanks for the kind words. The fact is, I fish way too much. Believe me, I have tons of bad days that I don't report on. Heck, this month I've been skunked twice. I am fortunate to have some pretty good spots to fish, but that won't last forever. I, too, will need to work harder in the near future.

SFL BassHunter

I think this month I have skunked one or two times. Or damn near skunked.
I also haven't fished as much as I usually do with my new work out schedule after work. It's taken away some of my after work fishing.
Then combine that with the fact that the only thing biting are the small ones and the fact I have been trying some new lures that just haven't produced anything yet. For example the Whopper Plopper, and the BBZ-1 Size 30 Rat.

Anyways, I got an endless bag of excuses. I'm gonna hold on to some other ones for next month when I stink the place up again and need a few new excuses.  ~roflmao

lol, Rick. Yeah, it's a numbers game. It definintely takes a lot of work, and 1000's of fruitless casts, to get a good stringer. Keep chunking that Whopper Plopper. I'm starting to get confidence in mine. One thing I've found is that while it works great on a steady retrieve, like a buzz bait, it also works better at times when used more like a devil's horse. Short pops, let it sit. What I like is when you move it then let it sit, the tail will continue to rotate slowly for a second or two. Drives 'em crazy.

Yeah I will keep throwing it, but I will make sure the conditions are right. I'm not going to force it.

That's a relief. Don't worry, I'm sure that world record bass is out there waiting for you!
Gonna hit a new pond in a little bit, and if that doesn't work out, going to Lake A for the evening session.

Caught me a crank bait fish today. Had 3 others with it. 2 about the same size and one that was several inches bigger and wider. Tried to play the fish I had and see if I could get the bigger one or one of the others to get hooked but nope. Oh well. Least I got a good one.

Also lost my crank later on. My Line was wrapped around the tip and I cast making the line snap and my crank went bye bye.
Time to buy another one!

That's why I usually buy cheap ones lol.

I am very impressed with the quality of the H2O cranks from academy. All the ones I bought run true out the box the hooks are good I've yet to lose a fish on one. I don't throw them often but when I do I usually catch something.

Down here with all the vegetation it can be a pain. But one thing I've learned is that same vegetation if what makes them bite. Ripping a crank through it can get them to strike.

Well there ya go, I figured you had to be close to hitting it every month-- just didn't know you actually had.

Fishing a lot and Numbers is the name to the game. The 1st year and 2nd year I was out a lot. Like 2-4 days a week on the water. Put in that much time and your bound to find a handful of good ones.
Cut it back to 1-2 days a week and it is a lot harder to hit the higher numbers.

Unless your fishing a very low pressure lake that almost no one else fishes at and the fish are stupid, that is not educated to what lures do.
