Here are some pictures, I plan on doing a video and written review on why I chose this one compared to others on the market.

Here are the two local ones.

The two biggest +'s to me are how the pedalS slip forward so I can get shallower and clean the prob, and $$ it is the cheapest pedal drive on the market... well other than Chinese knock offs.

That is a nice one! Nice Kayak store btw.

I am lucky and they are just across the lake from me, they have a ton of stuff. He was suprised I lived so close lol cause he has people normally driving from all over to buy or look.

He has big rigs, hobies, nucanoe, native, & pescador. Not many places you can see every pedal kayak on the market lol

West, my bro in law has one of the Hobie pedal ones. He can't stop talking about how great it is. He loved it so much that he bought another. I'm not sure of the model but I think it's pricey!!

They start around 3500 to 4300.. so yea.. lol

Plus they are 158lbs for the fishing one. That is a but much, and is also a complaint about them.

Headed out!

Good luck FD and thanks for the great looking sunrise pictures.

My sister has a house in Key Largo and is on the water. My brother in law got them big hobies with pedals. They are in the bay. He says they are awesome.

The one you seem to be getting looks great!

The Hobies are nice, and twice the price and weight lol I plan on keeping in on the truck so I have to be able to get it down of the top of the truck myself.

West,
That was a big decision. Don't feel bad, you can always get another one later in life.

It was a little sad, I spent a few hours showing the guy everything. Retired guy who bought it for himself for his retirement gift. Funny part is today is one year to the day that we got the boat lol. So I had the boat for one year.. to the day lol. Also he just got a new truck.. which was an F150.. same as I got just before getting the boat lol

He is a super nice guy who hasn't owned a boat in a long time. So he had questions about launching and stuff. I gave him loys of info and pointers. Like parking near by and getting the boat ready and only using the ramp to launch and load the boat. Not hang out and put ice in the cooler lol.

It's a great boat, and he's going to get many years of enjoyment from it. Thomas I wish you and Stacy the best on this next chapter of your lives.

Yesterday was rather eventful...except for the fishing.
Before I even went fishing, I was letting my dog out for a bathroom break, when I noticed something wrong with her tail. She had a huge gash, and I could see her tendon. Fortunately, it didn't seem to be bothering her, so I was able to wait until this morning to get her to the vet. She is there now, and I will pick her up later.
At the lake, a  couple of dudes were fishing off the bank when I suddenly saw them hook into something big. At first I was a little bummed, because I had just fished through that area, and I thought they had a monster bass that I somehow missed out on. But it was a grass carp - about 4' long, and easily 30-40lbs. I trolled over to them and shot some video. They got it right up to the bank, and one of them had his hands on its gills, but for some reason the guy didn't pull it up on shore. I was really hoping to get some pics of them holding the fish, but it got away.
Then, on the freeway nearby I saw a wreck. Not a really bad one, but it was definitely startling.
Then, as I was flippin down the weedy bank, the 10' gator that I had been seeing out there lately suddenly popped his head out about 15' from my boat. I'm glad he gave me some warning before I ended up on top of him. I tried to break out the phone for some pics, but he saw me and thrashed and went underwater. I could see his bubble trail as he swam away, and I let him have that end of the lake.
Then, the guys that had the carp ended up catching another one. This one looked about 20-25lbs, but I was too far away to troll over, so still didn't get any pics.
I did catch a few bass, btw. None had any size, except one 3+lber (not big enough to cull, though). All were caught under super-heavy vegetation where the gators hang out.
Then, my buddy called me and told me to hurry home, bc he had an extra ticket to go see 3rd Eye Blind at our new venue down by the Jaguars stadium. I had also gone on Sat night to see Tears for Fears, and I must say, the new amphitheater is quite nice. They are booking tons of shows, and it's nice to have another entertainment option here in Jax.
After the show, we went and saw a late showing of Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot!
All in all, a pretty busy weekend.

Tears for Fears. Great show.

Siversun Pickups, opened for 3rd Eye.

Tress you had a busy weekend. Sorry you didn't catch any bigger Bass but glad you didn't run into that gator. Hope you dog is going to be ok. Them Big carp are fun to catch and can give you one heck of a fight.  ~sweat

Thanks, Lip. I'm sure she'll be ok. Yeah, that gator has a few smaller friends as well. It's a little sketchy flippin this place, because I have to get so close to the mat. I'm afraid one day I'm going to end up on top of one of these lizards. But that's where the fish are, so, I'm hoping the gators stay shy. It does make it kinda scary to dig the fish out of the weeds at times.

Lipripper

I hear you. I would have to think twice about sticking my hand down in them weeds with them gators around.  ~sweat I know up in Michigan fishing that stuff I try to make sure it's a Bass before I stick my hand in the weeds cause I wouldn't want to stick my hand in one of them Big Northern Pikes mouth.  :surrender:

Yeah, it's the same thing here with mudfish. They have razor sharp teeth. I got bit by one a few years ago while unhooking it. Can't imagine what it would be like to accidently lip one.
