Caught about a dozen dinks yesterday morning and two big mud fish. Only one got his picture taken.
Got up this morning and the aches and pains kept me on the porch but still had a great view.

Nice pictures Lee!

Barry those are some healthy fish you caught!

Should have fished yesterday, had the threat of rain all morning. Weatherbug kept saying it would rain within the hour and it didn't happen till the afternoon.
This morning it has been raining all morning.

Problem is it wasn't one of those days where you have fairly clear skies and then a cloud rolls in. It was dark, the entire sky had rain clouds covering it, so you never really knew when it would start a down pour.

I hate them kind of days and as we all know the weather people can't be trusted  lo lo Well at least this rain might help bring the water in the lakes up a little.

Yeah the lake by my house has a very shallow section with lots of eel grass. The water is so low there that half the eel grass is on top of the water. I'm thinking there is about a foot of water or foot and a half left there. If it wasn't for this rain my guess the lake would have got divided if the water would have kept dropping.

I am after family lunch. Even if I have to put on my frog togg. I have a frog tied on. Spinnerbait will be a no go in the giant pad field of a lake I'm gonna fish off the bank.

Let's see if I can get froggy today

***Advised to remove certain info I posted here, so that story is gone...

On another note, I took the boys fishing yesterday and tore them up and even caught a nice big one around 5 to 6 pounds- not sure really because I did not have anything to weigh it with and up to my knees in lake water at the time. And I caught a couple around 3 and a bunch of dinks all on a ratt'l trap. Lots of fun.
Words are the exercise for the brain. Words are life expressed... without words we die a slow meaningless death. Silence to the grave is no way to go! So live! Use words! Power of the pen is sharper than any sword! Make it so! Mom said don't surround yourself with idiots! Fly higher than the Eagles... and don't run with the turkeys! Deus Vult!

Negative 0 frog bite. The pan fish were blowing up on bugs all over the place. I thought it was gonna be perfect for the frog but all the bass activity I started seeing was them chasing down the feeding baby bluegills. No bass blow ups. I threw a paddle tail in watermelon red and caught 7 fish within 45 min.
Then things slowed down and caught another 3 by the end of the day. Only 1 was really worthy of measure, though I measured a second fish after I realized time was running out and it was better to have 2 fish instead of just the 1 measured.

The small bass seemed to be feeding yesterday. The 15 inch bass I caught had a full belly. He was a fatty.

I don't get stuck on one lure. I do pretty good at adapting. If something isn't working, I make the change. I know this particular lake a uvibe, stick bait, and paddle tail worms (cause they are basically stick baits with a paddle) work well. Frog is more miss than hit. They REALLY have to be in a topwater mood there. Every once and a while one or two bass don't get the "don't eat the frog" memo and I can manage to catch them.

I pressure washed the house yesterday AM as it was misty out anyway lol.

I went to hit a local walking trail that has a lake I can't wait to put a kayak in... wife and I were walking out and I looked towards where we were going.. the sky was black and within 3 minutes it was raining again lol

So she made brownies and I got the beast computer hooked up. Going to be launching my own website and youtube channel soon on our travels and kayak fishing.

We got a quad core, 16gb, 500ssd, 2tb (4tb with 2 mirrored). Buddy of mine help me build it. It rendered a 54 minute video in 1080p in 14 minutes. My buddies desktop took 50 minutes for the same one lol

So west did they come get the boat this weekend?

Glad you got that worked out West! Sounds like you built a heck of a pc! 14 minutes is FAST for a 1080p video that is 54min. One of the reasons I haven't done as much video editing recently is because of the amount of time it takes. A faster PC will help reduce the time.

His money didn't come in yet, pushed off to this weekend now. I wanted a cashiers check, so waiting for his bank to clear his check he received and issue the new one.

Got a little care package.

The new Veritas should be soon as well.
