Parts for a Lew's Reels?

Does anyone know who might have parts for some of the older Lew's reels, seems that I have a few that need a checkup and some maintance work done to them, like myself!

Rickoos you should check out the Bass Pro shop. They have a department that deals with parts for reels and I bet they would have the parts you need. I don't have the number off hand but the main one in Springfield is the one that has the shop in it. That is where Mike gets a lot of his parts.

Rickoos, I use Lews BB1NG's for crankbaits. I took it apart for a cleaning and lube and now if I get grass on my crankbait an slap the bait on the water to get it off the spool releases and I get a mess. Any suggestions? I sold 3 BB1NG's last year for $30.00 each. I wish I hadn't now. I always look for them at flea markets. If Bass Pro helps you out let me know. Thanks

I can think of only 1 thing, box it up and sent it to me for 30.00!!!!!!

Really, check you spring again that works the engaging button. I'm not sure without taking it apart. I had one last week start to not engage fully, sometimes when you throw it, sounds like a train going down the track, scared the wife to death the other morning, it was so quite and I throw a spinnerbait way up the back of a timber stand, and it didn't dis-engage abd you talk about a noise!

Rickoos, I found two reel repair shops that have parts for Lew's reels. One is in Baltimore, Maryland and the other in Northern Virginia. I took my BB1NG to the Baltimore shop (closest to my home) and I will let you know the outcome.

Hey Rickoos, I got my BB1NG back from the reel repair shop yesterday. Total charge was $23.00. $18.00 for cleaning and lubrication and $5.00 for parts. It took a new paw and some screws were replaced. Seems to be working good. Will try it out this Sunday. If you need any info on this repair shop let me know.

Go ahead and send me the info, I never did anything with mine other than pull the 2 bad ones off and put 2 more Lew's on. I really need to sent them off and get them looked at one day.
