We need to reserve some rooms and find out how many boaters we will have.  The dates are May 20-21.  Who is going???

BMiles

Probably would be a good Idea if our boaters and non-boaters tried to pair up in advance for this one so we can have a better idea of who's going and get a good head count.  We don't want to leave anyone out.

Bob Smith - did you mention you would be interested in pairing with a non-boater that had a vehicle that could pull your boat?  I'm sure we have some out there.  We'll try to discuss at this Saturday's tournament so we can get some hotel reservations made.

BassinBob

I will be there as a boater. It would be best if someone that got better mileage in a more dependable vehicle could tow the boat but one way or another I will be fishing, and will have my boat. At 6 - 7 mpg I would just be buying gas instead of unimportant things like food and a room :)

BobS

GPrince

I will be there as well (as a boater). If the non-boater thing works, I would like to take my wife as well.

Winkp

Hi Guys,
I will not make Blk Creek this week and Miller's Ferry is a doubtful. I'll have to see how things are going a little later on. ~xyz

GPrince

Wink,

Depending on how it goes with my wife, you would be more than welcome to fish with me. That is of course, if you don't mind lower your standards for a weekend. :)

BMiles

Sorry to hear that wink.   :'(
I'll just have to  ~beer~ extra ones for you.  If you need anything just let us know.

Winkp

Yep, drink one for me. Thanks Greg, I wish I could make it. I don't know if I could lower my standards enough to ride in one of those Toonies. ha

SteveK

Greg, thats not true,  He lowered his standards to fish with me in the Eufaula Rally.  hahhahaha.  He also talked me into sending my toon airborne.....

BillS

As of right now, me and ralee plan on fishing millers ferry together.  If gas prices keep going up, im, just going to get an inter tube and hook it to the back of greg's boat, then just float back to the dock.

Winkp

Steve,
If I had realized I was in a Toonie I would had messed my pants. ha

RoyB

I will be taking the wife if all the non-boaters are taken care of

CediP

I am pretty sure that i am going to go. Not sure if i want to fish from my small boat again or pair up. I am going to see if the guy i asked to fish with in the last tournament wants to fish in may.

AAllemond

Fellas, I'm hoping that I can make it.  I'm definitely going to try my hardest to be there, we have an Exercise coming up, and it might be during that time frame.  I'm trying to talk my boss into letting me take leave, since it will be one of my last tournaments before I head to Korea.

BassinBob

Change in plans. $$ and other considerations mandate that, at this time, I pass on the 2 day at Millers Ferry. Was looking forward to it, but it does not seem like a possibility right now. I have a map of Millers Ferry if anyone wants to borrow it - its kinda old, and sorry, but it don't have anything marked on it :)

BobS

RoyB

Yeah, these gas prices are going to make this a tough one on everybody I think

CediP

I'll be fishing in my small boat again. $$ is tight. Don't reserve a room for me because my wife wants to camp that weekend. See everyone at the meeting next week.

I have 8 rooms reserved for the 19th & 20th (Friday & Saturday night).  The rates are $43.50 per night plus tax.  Need to try to firm up the head-count and get everyone paired up at this Friday's meeting.  I need to give them 2 days notice for cancellations.  The rooms are guarenteed on my Credit Card and are in my name.

daBILLS

Hey Roy, as of right now I am planning on going with the boy.  Can you either give me the hotel number or let me know whats going on with the rooms people already have reserved.

RoyB

I believe we have plenty of rooms reserved.  Bob Miles will let you know for sure...but I think you are tkaen care of bud.  Glad you and the boy can make it

daBILLS

Thanks for the heads up on the rooms, when are people heading up there? Bill was talking that some people might leave Friday or will they leave early in the morning Saturday? I know its still early but when will and where will people be meeting up because I don't have a clue where I am going?

RoyB

Jeff and I will be leaving sometime mid-day Friday.  It is a 3 hour drive.  It has been 9 years since my last time there so I will have to look it up on a map.  Once you get to Camden there isn't much there...so finding the hotel will be easy

BMiles

I reserved 8 rooms for the trip.  Based on input from Friday's meeting it looks like we will need at least 9 rooms with 1 extra person.  I called and they still have available rooms.  If we have 1 extra person we could probably put him in one of the rooms with a cot or portable bed.  We still have a few people who haven't committed yet.  I just want to remind everyone that if you determine you CANNOT go please let me know ASAP so I can adjust the number of reserved rooms.  I think with the number of anglers this is going to be a great tournament.  As of now, here's who I show going / paired /sharing rooms:

Room 1:   Bob/Jason

Room 2:   Roy/Jeff

Room 3:   Kendall/Dave

Room 4:   Greg/Tammi

Room 5:   Bill/Rallee

Room 6:  James/Jared

Room 7:  Wink/Aaron

Room 8:  Steve H./Guest

Room 9:  Mike L./Son

Room 10 (or bunk with others):  Adam

Camping:  Cedric and Wife

RoyB

No need in Adam taking his own room....would be glad to share ours.  We can make arraingments.   The idea is to keep the cost down.  We can share a bed if it is big enough or I don't mind crashing out on the floor if need be

BMiles

Just got a call from James F.  His partner Jared can't make it so he's looking for someone to pair up with and share expenses otherwise he probably won't be able to go.
