I can't find a left hand real in a 5:5:1...mainly looking for a slow reel to crank with...  I can't get my 6:3.1 slow enough and i get a lot of bizarre action with my baits.   Any ideas on where to look or should i switch to a spincaster for just cranking?

How much are you looking to spend? Does it have to be new? and do you care about the condition of the reel (visually)?
My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

Depending on the IPT I doubt you will see much difference between 5.5 and 6.3.
If the baits are running odd, I would look at them.. It's pretty hard to over crank a diving bait.

With that said I like the curado E5 for DD22'S ,Fat free shad ect.. should be some on the auction sites.

You can get the Abu Garcia Revo Winch in LH, 5.4-1.
Monster has them on sale now for $159.
Tough to find the slow ratios in LH.
TTK has spoken.

Doesn't have to be new... found a chronarch used for 199...  any reason not to buy the Revo WNCH?  Only reason i say that is I fish with shimano reels now, but can't quite justify 200 for a reel...

sgibby88

Lews has a lefty in that retrieve. Believe it's the bb1. I have been looking at getting one only because the only low pro shimano in the retrieve speed for lefty is the Antares. And I don't crank enough to justify that purchase

What about a classic style reel? The abu ambassadeur r u s at 5:3:1. Shimano has a few left handed reels that run slow in a conventional style as well. I've used a lot of them and the Calcutta reels, if you want to go that high, I've used before we're away sweet. Were because I haven't used one in a long time.

Tatula 5.5:1 Crazy Cranker around $180 JDM
Zillion SV 5.5:1 around $270 JDM

^ running these myself for deep divers and utilizing 6.3:1 for shallow and mid stuff.
If you wanna keep it cheap Orra Winch has a great reputation. Wanna go mid grade USDM find a Chronarch 201E5 on eBay. Wanna go all out Shimano Antares is the Bentley!

Not really a crankbait reel. That was designed for more of saltwater fishing with small line capacity.
