Bait Monkey -- You're Fired (Confessional)!!

I just got in my Nu Tch Crappie Jigs that I just ordered and they didn't have the Black colored ones in stock. After I placed my order I received an email from Bo and said sorry but when he was filling the order he said we are also out of chartreuse heads.  if you will take red in place of those, i will send a couple extra for the trouble. I just got them in and can't wait to get out there and put them to the test by throwing them up in them Christmas Trees and Rip Rap to see if they will get hung up. They look great but the jury is still out on if they will make it back to the boat. I will do a full report after I test them at the end of the month.

Down here in our limestone bottom lakes no jig is 100% safe from getting hung. It's just the nature of the beast. I did get hung with the nutech but was able to get it free. Of course these lakes are fished from the bank which always adds an extra layer of difficulty to the recovery of lures.
With that said, I do prefer the nutech shape and the dual weed guards. I think it gets over rock much easier (reducing the chance of getting hung) and got through milfoil and other clumps of vegetation really well.

That's true they are the traditional round jig. Hmmm well, I guess you'll find out soon enough.

Yelp it won't take long to find out. I will know after one toss into them Christmas Trees.

Not saying it's impossible to hang but it might be better than you think. I do see it being easy to hang in rocks where it'll fall in between some but it still may be harder to hang.

OK. the bait monkey bit. As you know I won a Dobyns Sierra here on the site. So.....had to get a new reel. Just ordered a second Diawa Tatule CT type R. That is what I put on the new Dobyns Furry I just bought Last time I was home. That combo is great. It cas a mile, well maybe not quite.....
