I borrowed a righty reel and took it out 2 times to learn. Let's just say there is absolutely no way in hell I am going to learn to cast with my left.
Just not happening. I'm about as awkward casting lefty as a Panda going through life. You ever seen those clumsy things?

Yelp that was quick. Now put it on a rod and string it up and go try and catch a fish with it. 
My two of them Official Tournament Ruler like y'all talked me into getting should be here tomorrow and then in about a month Bigjim should have my 60 Roadrunners done.

I'm with you on that.
I had the opportunity to fish with some very nice reels last year. Unfortunately they were all righties. It just feels akward.
I couldnt even cast very well with them cause the handle was in the way!

I put a set of HawgTech ceramic bearings in the SX. Man that sucker can cast!

DSG is having a clearance sale on some G. Loomis E6X rods.  Got a MH/XF spinning rod for $100.  Rated for 3/16-5/8, which is lower than my St. Croix Mojo Bass M/F rod.  Figured it would be good for shaky heads and soft plastics.

My Mojo Bass is a baitcasting rod.  Never tried a G. Loomis so I figured I'd give it a whirl.  Won't lose too much reselling it if I don't like it.

I'm a righty, I cast and reel with my right, but I've forced myself to learn how to pitch with my left. Pitching is where it's "too much work" (too slow) to switch hands for me, I like to have control as my bait hits the water. But casting with my right, I can switch hands while it's still on the fly.
There's about a 99% chance my rod and reel is going in the lake if I try to cast leftie, I know from experience.

Haha, well if the gen 2 has the SCIII blank with IPC, then it's a gen 2.  I got it for $90 when Academy stopped carrying the Mojo Bass line.  Always looking for deals.
