This is what happens when you hook a large hard-fighting mudfish while fishing with shiners for largemouth bass. The hook is a Mustad 4/0 bait hook. The good news is the Palomar knot and PowerPro #30 braided line held fast.

There is a mudfish somewhere in the glades that borrowed one of my spinnerbaits. 

Musta been a big mudfish to do that kind of bending to a hook!

I would rather wrestle with a mudfish than mess with a big gar. Even though I have lost more  tackle on mudfish than with gar... lol!!
