Well I am bitten bye the bug. Pulled the trigger on a Daiwa SV103 7.9:1 reel and ZILLION sv tws 7.3:1 reel.
And an ABU Villain med 7'1" spin rod.
Saved $190 on the three total.

Now to work more for the Dobyns rods next. Only tackle I can't seem to save on.

Hell you saved enough there to buy almost two Dobyns Fury rods

I've been trying to restrain myself. Got a SV105 7.2:1 on the way- got it used and saved $80. Seller says there's not a mark on it and it comes with the box so I'm pretty excited. Going to go on the GLX for small jigs and finesse, and I'll probably be using it a good bit this winter.

Probably not, purple spool is still for sale. I'm planning to do this reel in blue. The only hangup is the red levelwind guide collar.

One of the older Steez models had a purple line guide IIRC.  If you want it blue, just replace it with any of the black ones and get a blue pawl cap.

Most all of Daiwas can use any Daiwa line guide.
