I am not picking on anyone with this post nor am I mad, pointing fingers, or upset.... I see things like this all over the forum, this particular example just happened to be used.

Folks Laurie and I are always striving to make Ultimate Bass a better place for everyone. At the top of this goal is information. The more information the forum has the more people will visit through search engines. The more people we have asking and answering questions, the better the information is.

Where do you as members come in? First keep doing what your doing, ask and answer questions. However, when you're asking questions or making a post we need everyone to use solid thread titles.

I am not picking on anyone and I'll take any post versus no posts but I ran across a thread that is a perfect example of how we could do better.

This thread title is LMG?

I get the reason, it was a question directed at Largemouth Gambler. But the question is fantastic and the answer is equally as good. It's probably on the minds of hundreds of anglers out there. When anglers search for this information on the web it will be buried in thousands of search engine results and likely not be found.

With a thread title of say, "Daiwa SV103 versus Zillion and why?" would draw hundreds of hits in the first couple days.

Bottom line, you can post threads and title them however you like and Laurie and I are grateful for your support, but if we can get you to adjust the titles just a little bit, it will draw new members to the site.

Now if you are BSing, poking fun, or just ranting, a thread title is better suited if it draws personal attention  This way we can all jump in on the fun.

Now,  you can't possibly think that any of US would be guilty of this.  You must be confusing us with the members of some other fishing board...


I do a lot of searching the internet, it is a great source of quality information if you can pick through some of the nonsense.  I search enough that I have began to recognize which sites typically have good information and will only click on them.  What Mike is saying makes good sense and will make the difference between UB growing quickly or not.

Thanks Mike, that absolutely makes sense.  Not that my time is that tight, but I hate wasting time opening threads that I have no interest in.  I'm sure I've been guilty of this myself at one time or another.

I probably was napping... I've been battling the throat crud and not sleeping well. But never mind that, if you're here beat the door down!! Either way having the posse  at the door is good thing IMO
