If I Can't Fish I Might As Well Cook!

Here is a little old redneck recipe you may want to try, Italian style.


1 coil of Barese sausage. Veal, pork, basil and Parmesan cheese in that mix.


Red shepherd peppers, onion, cremini mushroom and garlic, don't use the damned powder, go get a fresh one!



Bacon.



Nice big loaf of Calbrese bread. Make sure it's fresh enough that you could use it as a pillow.



Old cheddar cheese. Make sure it's made with real milk. That kind is gettin harder to come by these days!



Condiments as you wish. That's a private thing!



Grill that sausage keepin it nice and together.



Fry up them veg in butter. Can you feel the love??



Grill that loaf with olive oil salt and pepper!



Assemble all your ingredients on a sheet and broil until that cheese has a nice dark brown crust on top!!



Like that!

And... like that!! Bottle of red wine, some good football on and as much as I can't go fishin for a bit this is a great way to spend some time for this boy!! Cheers to you all and thanks for lookin in!!

I love Italian sandwiches. St. Louis has some fantastic deli's. My favorite was homemade hot salami with pepper cheese----until I saw your sandwich. Awesome, brother--simply awesome.

I get it and sometimes when the wind is right we get some bigh snows around here too.
