Spring Rally -- Table Rock Lake

little fishing update.  many bassers are still beating the bank and not having too much success.  the main food source - shad- are still out deep and the bass and whites are down there with them.  we caught over 100 white bass yesterday, and also had 15 keeper bass with 6 of them being in the 3 lb. range.

we are still 8 feet below power pool, but still have plenty of time for a big rain, but the good news is that there is room for that water without the water being too high to not be able to get to the bass.

the lake yesterday looked like a weekend there was so many boats on the water.  doesn't anyone work anymore ?  this is exactly why i go night fishing.  very few boats out at night making it more enjoyable to fish.  how many more days is it?

We are getting close folks. Less than 45 days. Above is what we have for now. We will have one open bed at the 4 cabins that are reserved now. We can always sleep more in the remaining cabins, but there will be an additional fee.

If anyone wants another Cabin, we will have to get with the owners ASAP to reserve one.

i've been out getting ready for you "yeahoos" .  there have been a few to catch at night, and the old 1/4 orange hair jig with a 800 spring lizard pup has been getting them just as it does every year the moon of march.  fished a night at bull shoals and caught a limit by 9 PM, but the bite quit after that.

now, there is snow on the ground.  so, don't worry that they will be spawning while you are here, but they will be in the eating mode.  with the moon going to be out, the norm to throw after dark is a 3/8 with a brown and blue skirt and a solid blue trailer.  single spins will catch them, but have never proved to me to catch as many big ones as a jig.  but, i still like throwing them once in a while on a warm windy night.

hope those that have had the opportunity to get out have been doing so and getting all the practice you can to be ready to whack them when you get here.  a bass in the 5 lb. range and bigger is a rarity here anymore, but there does seem to be a number of 3's and 4's.  lube those reels up and sharpen those hooks.  it won't be long now.

Had a thought guys. I'm going to bring my electric skillet and this sausage I tried the other day. Killer stuff. Very mild and low grease too. Figured since we don't have to drive 30-40 to the dock, we will have time for breakfast before hand?

I can bring this and buy some eggs bacon etc in town as I will get their earlier.
