ANyone have a Lead Flipping worm wieght ?

Looking for a cad drawing or a actual 1 and 1.5 oz lead flipping wieght, if you have one of these in Lead could I get some measurements to make a mold from .. just not sure how big needs to be for 1oz and 1.5oz .. cant find a mold so going to make one .. if I have to will order the dumb things to get sizes lol

Personal use only not selling , Im too cheap to pay retail lol

Just measure a 1 and 11/2 ounce lead worm sinker! ~goof

Wouldn't he need to know about the measurement on the collar too and how that adds in to the weight?

You can make a pretty good guess, the weight added would be minimal.

I'm late to this thread, and I have a mold with that style weight. I just got in from work & am trying to catch up, so it will be tomorrow before I can check my mold. Not sure if the one I have goes that heavy or not, but Ill check.  :)

here is what me and one of the engineers at work came up with .. took him about 10 mins ..me would have taken 2 weeks lol ... I just haven't played with cad much.. would have to learn it .. I work IT .. spend enough time on computers and work and home .. for something I will rarely use.

One of the machinists gonna make me a mold out of this .. of course I will owe him a bunch of the finished heads :) and will throw in doz of my cranks as well ..

Very Cool!  ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

It never hurts to have talented friends or co-workers either!   lo

I studied Architecture in college, so I can do the drafting, but it's old school with hard line pencils & paper that I did. Never did any of the CAD stuff either.  ::)

Glad you figured it out! Looks like a pretty good schematic for it! I was going to suggest going to BPS. They sell em up to 1oz but thats it.

I checked my mold, and the heaviest size is 9/16 oz. It's the Do It mold, model # SLIP-6-A.

I have their trolling head mold too which makes 1 oz heads, but the shape is not what you would want for flipping, especially around vegetation.

I guess once northrivergeek gets his mold made, we'll all know where to get the heavier heads when we need them!  lo

ANyone that wants the DWG file its yours .. if you are actually going to use it :)
Now this is not a complete mold .. no hinges etc .. Im just making it out of Alum plate, and put in a couple studs for alignment .. and use clamps .. if you wana get fancy with it feel free lol..

All I ask if you want it .. go here to my https://www.youtube.com/user/northrivergeek , like a video :)
and visit the about section for the DWG dropbox link .. will leave the link up for couple weeks then take down

You will need a autocad viewer or autocad to open the file http://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg/viewers
