Red River Bass Fishing Reports

My son and I hit the Red for a little while this morning...Wind was just strong enough to make fishing some area dificult...Water temp was 56-58 degrees..

Only boated 6 fish between us...4 keepers with largest at 13.5...a couple came on chrome/blue rattletrap...couple off watermellon/red worm...and couple on deep diving crank...

Most of our bites came early before 10:00 and was slow after that...so left the Red about noon...

Fished the Red also, tough compaired to last weekend. I ended up with five fish all keepers a couple around 2 pounds. Railroader was out there today and he did pretty good. He showed me a 2.11 and a 3.10 that he caught. I will let him tell you the secret spots and bait

I probably wont get a bite next week in the ABA.lol but i went up to BPS last night and chatted with russ mcvey and he told me that he caught 23 fish yesterday and he told me what he was doing and im excited for next week, i just hope to get 5 keepers. see yall saturday..

Well I know where Russ was fishing, exactly cause he never moved. Very close to where I did my prefishing.

Was out there again today, did a lot of looking around and some playing, only managed a couple of fish but they were better quality You guessed it spinnerbaits

i just hope that i get with one of you guys who have been prefishing the river...i am a non boater and i dont have a chance to go out on a boat except during the tourny...anyhow good luck to everybody...you can count on my donations being turned in by about 5 am come saturday lol...Jeremy

I don't know if you want to draw me I only had 8.9 last week and this week was very tough for me

i will probably be in camo bibs and a camo jacket...lol...that describes about everyone lol...i will either have a wave worms hat on or my camo longview inspection hat...ill be a non boater who has 3 rods and a tackle bag that nearly gets me divorced lol...btw 8.9 makes me look bad lol...i only managed 4 little ones with 4.80...but we cought probably 30-40 together...Jeremy

I know this is late but I do not have internet at my new house yet. Fished the river Friday and have a tough day. I did not get a bite. My son did get one in the boat on a spinnerbait. Went back yesterday and did a lot better. Only put 3 in the boat, one dink and the other two 3+ pounds. I did get a lot of bites, just could not get them in the boat. All on spinnerbait.

i thought about going to see if i can find any back in the oxbow's, maybe try something different? or just wait and wing it?

I haven't spent anytime in the oxbows since the TCTC tournament, you seen how that turned out for me

Might be a real good idea, if I had another Pre Fish opertunity I would run up to Port Lake and work my way back along the river.

got a question...whats the tctc tournament? also anyone know of anyone who would like to fish some team tourneys? i am new to LA as i have sd and work to much to go out and make friends lol..if so id appreciate it...Jeremy
