Over 60,000 Trout to Be Stocked

Fall trout stocking will likely begin the last week of September, depending on water conditions. The drought should not significantly impact stocking.

Daily stocking reports will be available at mass.gov/trout

Note: The state of Connecticut has decided to delay their stocking of trout due to the drought. I will be posting about that in the Connecticut board here on UB soon. ><>  Smallie_Stalker  <><

The Connecticut information is now up. http://www.ultimatebass.com/bass-fishing-forum/index.php?topic=131528.0

When I was younger (YOUNG!) I remember being a bass/Pike fisherman for years, and being p!ssed cuz I had to buy a license to fish for them, when all that $ went to Trout guys...so every once in awhile we'd head to Walden Pond (and once in awhile Massapoag) to get our $ worth.
I never liked the taste of trout, but some family and friends did.

you know, that 'fishy' taste folks hate in freshwater fish, they turn right around and 'love' in trout and salmon.

I used to catch a ton of LMB and some big perch, once in awhile I'd take a reasonable bass home, and it was fabulous (perch too).
Funny thing is, a lot of LMB are caught in some ugly areas, and trout are caught in nice clean and clear lakes and ponds..yet trout ALWAYS tasted muddy to me(no matter where I caught it), but bass is Fab.

Go Figure!
