Waxing Gibbous Moon and Wind From the East!

In my five decades or so if fishing I have grown to be as sensitive to the demands of weather as possible. Accommodating even.

Weather report for today does not look good at all!! Waxing gibbous moon = no bite

Wind from the East - Fish bite least!
Air pressure up and down like a proverbial toilet seat as the weather forecast calls for severe thunderstorms and 20 to 30 mm of rain over the next thirty six hours.

Cold front moving in behind that mess tomorrow afternoon.

All in all not a promising weekend to look forward to fishing wise.

Based on these factors I have decided early this aft to... Go fishing! Screw it! Besides there's cold beer up there!

Hope to be out on the water in a few hours and hoping the bite will turn on before the Lightning shuts us down!

The city air is fetid with both aroma and attitude. I would much rather wander aimlessly on the lake chatting with my fishing mates chatting fishing and swimming. Enjoying the best life has to offer us and feeling pretty damned lucky to be able to enjoy it while we all still can!

Rain this mornin but no thunder bangers. It has cooled over twenty degrees since yesterday. What a relief. Will head out in the rain with a buddy for a few hours. Rodney you be safe out there.

Watched several rain showers, some good sized, go along the lake just a mile or so from the bay I was fishing. Got sprinkled on for a minute or so, heard boomers out over the lake. Pulled in to the club, met my wife and we had lunch. Went to retrieve the boat when it hit, the boat will have to wait til tomorrow afternoon to get covered so it dries out.
