Hey -

Will be traveling up to Lake Oneida with couple of friends who are gotta fish up there. What is the best and effective to do there. I am planning to do some Wacky (weightless), Fat Ika and some Jerkbaits since the smallies love it.

What are the colors or suggestion I should try up there. I will be spending a week of hard fishing :)

Thanks in advance   ~c~

Table rock shad pointers all day. Dont forget your tubes. Watch out, that lake is dangerous and a lower unit killer. Also dont forget about the LM. They are there

Smallies are fun and what I'd target just because I don't get to fish for them here. But the big events up there are won on the largemouth normally. June should equal frogs in the shadows. Rojas won one of these on a frog in a foot of water casting to shade.

I use senkos green pumpkin with black or red flake wacky with an o ring and small hook. or a jig with a craw. Every once in a while i will use a candy worm. In June you might want to try live bait. Craws or minnows. The water is really clear so pumpkin or white is a good way to go

June yes. The big smallies have left the beds already and the large mouth are feeding shallow

Sounds like you're ready to go! Make sure to let us know how it goes, and rig a top water on the Amex Fast for starters :-*

If you have extra time, hit the Thousand Islands or better yet Lake ontario.
