..... and not ending nearly the way I expected.  Yesterday I went and looked at a slightly used Ranger rt188.  I really think for the lakes/rivers I fish, this might be the perfect boat for me.  I've been Bass Cat to the core since I got into bass fishing and the thought of owning a Ranger still feels pretty strange but given my decreased budget due to a 2nd child, this is very likely the move I'm going to make.  It's loaded, upgrades on Tm, hydraulic jack plate, bigger Lowrance units, and very roomy and stable for an aluminum boat.

Unfortunately for me, money is the bottom line and my next boat is going to need to last a minimum of 7 years.  I think this rig can do that at a price that I can afford and also be able to add upgrades like a power pole over time.
It's not a done deal yet but it's looking probable.......

Is it wrong if I'm fishing a Ranger and wearing a Bass Cat jersey????  LOL

While I am BCB to the core, in the end what counts is enjoyment on the water and with family.  If it takes the Ranger to get you there then by all means buy what will fit the budget and the family.  Please give us reviews if you end up in the Ranger.  Good luck and hopefully that Sabre will pop up before you pull the trigger.....

Well the banks don't seem to be real excited about lending money these days...... Not sure what I'm going to do yet....

Was on the R....... site looking at gear yesterday and I felt like I was doing something wrong the whole time.
Gonna be real hard to leave BCB if that's the route I choose to go.

I've actually been leaning to the aluminum line lately also. Hope you find what you are happy with regardless of brand name.
I have found in my experience that Credit Unions usually will have lower interest rates and are more willing to finance recreational equipment than the local banks are. If you haven't tried them I suggest giving your local CU a shot at your business.

I just looked at mine and on Recreational Loans they are going 1.59% right now , I didn't look at the fine print but Id bet it has a lot to do with how many years you wanna extend it and how much your asking for too

would you mind PM'ing the name of your credit union?  If nothing else it would be good leverage to work with.

Well the Sabre FTD sold...... figures..... made a call on a 2015 Sabre that is BEAUTIFUL!  Price is at the EXTREME upper end of my price range and he's pretty well tied to that price.  Gotta crunch some numbers and see what we can come up with.
