Does any have a good Report out of the Hatchery in Lake Moultrie. Are they spawning heavy in there where sight fishing can be done?

Have not been there but I am seeing reports of good catches in that area.  I would think that the spawn is mostly completed for now.  Reports are as usual with folks flipping trees.

The spawn usually last the whole month of April they couldn't have possible all spawned during the first warm front 2 weeks ago

Fished the Hatchery Wed the 30Th. it was to windy to fish the stump field. Fished the channel around the dike nothing for me or anyone I talked to. Crappy fishermen also were having a dead day.
Water temp 64-66. Sorry for this down report.

Thanks Terrydo you think they have really moved into the hatchery to spawn yet?

On a calm day I would go back & with wind I would go to the Spires Landing you can
find areas behind the islands free of wind that is just how I plan. Wed I had a friend that wanted
to Crappy fish the Hatchery he took his pontoon & I took my boat to Bass Fish.
I really like the back water ponds between Bells Marina & Spires. It seams everyone
that has heard of the Hatchery will try to fish it in the spring you almost have to bring your
own "stump" to have a place to fish.
