Our next event will be on Grand Bayou, on March 26th. We will have an early registration for this one, since there is another tournament schedule at the same ramp...so get there early to get a parking space. I will open registration at 5:00am, and once you have registered and had your livewells checked...you may idle out to your fishing spot, and make your first cast at 6:45am. Be sure to have YOUR PROPER BOAT LIGHTING, as required by law per Wildlife and Fisheries booklet, when operating during the hours of darkness. Please help spread the word that there is still plenty of time to qualify for our Classic, if new members start fishing this tourney they can get their 6 events in.

LA Highway 71 and LA Highway 1 both have road barricades in sections that were previously flooded, which may be removed between now and Saturday morning. Local law enforcement is allowing traffic to go around barricades, just as long as they are very cautious and slow down in areas that may still have standing water on the roads in certain areas.

If you do not feel comfortable driving around the barricades, you may take I-49 south and exit Highway 84 and head east and make a right turn onto LA Highway 1....this bypasses the section of Highway 1 that is barricaded. Head south to the stop light in Armistead and turn left to go over the Coushatta bridge and go staight until this road meets up with LA Highway 71...continue south on 71 until you see Highway 784 turn left, go about 2 miles east and you will see the ramp entry gate.

I will be traveling on Highway 71 South on Saturday morning, anyone wanting to follow me should meet me at the RRSM truck stop at 4:00am.
