Question about Get Bit

I am looking at building a custom rod just for fun and see where it goes. So my question is which starter kit is the best bang for my buck and do they offer an ultimate bass discount? Either way I'm buying one this week just want some input.

Several folks have asked the exact same question.  The answer so far has turned out to be the same.  Give them a call and have a chat about your needs and they will make a solid recommendation.  You might want to search prior threads.  If I recall correctly there were some names and phone numbers listed to talk with the key folks.

Since there are 2 site sponsors, Batson & Getbit, who deal with rod blanks, you might want to contact both & chat with them about what you want to do with building a rod.

That way you'll have more options & it never hurts to get as much input as possible for making an educated decision.

All their kits are great. Think about what you will want to use if for and them give them a call.

They don't offer a UB discount but offer specials for UB members on occasion. So you'll have to tell them you are a member.

Ps. It takes about a week for it to ship. I ordered last Tuesday, and got a shipping confirmation today.

Getbit has great products. Be sure to check out their Liberty Blanks when you start to build. They are a great blank and made in the USA. Lifetime warranty too.

So my package arrived and was bounced across my porch, but my main concern is that it's only the supplies no blank. Usps says delivered. I have 90% of the stuff and can't get started this is crazy.

Look around for  1-1/4"
PVC pipe. That's what your blank should be in. Maybe it rolled Over under something?

It's no where to be found, at this point I'm a little upset with get bit and usps. Get bit called me earlier this week to verify everything because a blank was back ordered and they said I could swap it out for another one (only difference is color) and get the kit out now no blank.

I like how they called giving you an option of what you wanted to do.  Stuff like this happens with shipping some of my Impulse rods should have been here yesterday by FedEx and I got my gear today by USPS today and the rods are in a truck, no they are in the shipping store, no they are on another truck wait we took them off the delivery truck and put them on a route truck but they still haven't been dropped of at the pack and ship location for you to come get them yet.

Not Impulse's fault FedEx is struggling with all the bad weather we have had over the past week.

They are closed on Sat and Sun, the blanks are usually shipped at the same time, but due to the length/size of the tubes may be handled differently from the box.  I have ordered items from all of the wholesale guys there are and Kevin and his crew have been the best by far IMHO.  Things happen, but I would bet you, USPS has it and it went a different route than the box of supplies/kit.  Hope it shows soon.

Yea sorry about not posting I've been working 14 hour days but it was here Monday when I got home. Looks amazing off tomorrow so I may get it put partially together
