Wacky weighting.....

There are jigs, weighted rings and weighted hooks for wacky rigging to change the presentation or get the bait deeper. A method I use takes the leverage away from the fish when it goes airborne. I pick the weight I want to use from my worm weights, put it on the line and tie the hook, then I peg the weight, not tight to the hook but an 1/8 of an inch or so below the hook, this allows the hook to swing free and the fish can't use it for leverage.
