noble, i am driving a chevy right now, and here is the logic behind that.  the last three vehicles i have owned were ford trucks.  man--youi talk about tough.  and in a few months i am gonna buy me a 2005 ford f-150 with the new cab design.  it is calle flow thru console.  but my old one-ton had over 250,000 miles on it and it would not make it long enough for me to get this '05 truck.  and i knew if i traded it in on a "real" truck like a ford, then i would not want to trade that truck in on the 05.  so i had to buy a make believe truck--hence the chevy surbvurban--then when it was time to get the 05 ford, i woiuld be excited abouit trading in this POS.  did that make any sense????  i know what i mean and i think i am confused.

the f-series truck is the best selling line of vehicles, car or truck, in the history of automobiles.  and here is a little tidbit of trivia for you:

Q:  what was the very first car made????????????????
A:  the model T

Q:  what was the second car made?????????????????
A:  the model A

even in 1904, henry ford knew that T&A would sell!!!!!

i think that says it all!!

Doc, u da man. I would push a Ford before I bought another over price POS Chevy.

You wouldn't have to push it...There is always a Chevy close-by that would love to give a Ford a tow!

One thing I can say about chevys, you never have to change the tires on them. They don't last long enough for you to have to change them. ;D

I don't know about that!...Next time you are driving around town, be sure to notice how many more 70's & 80's model Chevys you see STILL on the road compared to Fords. The older Fords are far outnumbered by the older Chevys. Why would that be?  ;D

Boy i am sure glad i don't own a truck, that means no will pick on me.  ;D Have not had to have one for several years now, thanks to work. Just in case you are wondering it is a Ford. Dern van at that, but is FREE. 8)

I'm not taking sides in This, just stating facts. Besides the Dodge that I drive we have two other work trucks a Chevy Truck 94 mod. it has 90,000 miles and has been sitting in Robbies yard for 3 years engine gone.
The ford is also a 94 it has 140 thousand miles and is running as good now as it did when new, Trey drives it every day :-X

Years ago I was a Ford person...drove a Bronco II for about 150,000...and had LOTS of trouble with it.  Converted to Chevy...drove an extended cab truck for 137,000 and NEVER had it in the shop for any repairs.  Then went to a tahoe that went over 85,000 miles (and I did have to buy new tires at 65,000 miles) and it never had any problems.  My current tahoe has 41,000 plus miles...no problems so far.

By the way...had to have my Ford towed...by a Chevy.

the main reason taht youi see so many more older chevys on the road is b/c the way the stick it to ya when you buy them for such an outrageous price, the owners cannot afford to ever get anything else.  they cost too darn much and they never get them paid off!!  and when i had my F-350, i pulled 9 other 4 wheel drive trucks out of the bog.  8 of them were chevys and the other a nissan.  and of the 8 chevys, 3 werre the same chevy.  man--what a rush--to hook up to a Z-71 and yank it out of the mud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

drop it deep and yank it hard and always buy the best (ford),

Alright I could of took the cracks on Cajun Boats.  Now that you went after my Chevy I'm going to get involved.  The best thing for Genmar is to drop a Ranger and bring back Cajun.  Then the improvements would be effective, instead of for looks.  Dundie you are not alone we don't have to take this.
