Would going from a 90mm handle to 102mm effectively increase line recovery in terms of inches per turn?

No, but it will give more winching power for power techniques.

Nothing changes for that. IPT is IPT...plain and simple. Only thing that modifies that is the amount of line you have on the spool.

You will find a personal preference for reel handle lengths too. What you like for cranking...flipping...etc. I do not use anything over 95mm.

Longer handle=more torque, but....how long until it effects you efficiently reeling? Thats why I keep it at 95mm max.

I like short ones for flipping or frogs, 85mm, normal casting stuff 90mm, and cranking is 95mm. I want my quick hook sets and high speed reels to be in use quickly. I can turn a shorter handle quicker.

Three of my outfits have 101mm and the other 3 have 94mm. I find that 94mm gets the job done across the board just fine for me.

I haven't done a handle job on a bass sized reel yet, but on a couple of my larger salt reels, I have added longer power handles.

I find that to me, it seems that I get more leverage advantage, but slower line movement and it has nothing to do with a change in IPT, but rather the rate at which I turn the handle, and can't explain why this is.

One way to prove that it doesn't change the IPT is to take a sharpie and put a dot on your spool at the same spot as one end of your reel handle, then you can see that the dot moves with the handle as you turn it.

No need to prove anything. IPT is simply the gear ratio * the effective spool diameter * pi. The handle has nothing at all to do with it.

It can be hard for some to visualize. I argued with a fishing partner for an hour one day until I did this. Broke his heart.

It's simpler than that, one rpm with a 101mm = one rpm with a 94 for line pick up.
Or get longer fingers.

Using the assumption the reel grips are located at the very end of each reel handle (which they aren't), your fingers/hand will travel 22mm farther with each revolution of the 101mm handle than with the 94mm handle to retrieve the same length of line. Multiply that by the number of revolutions in a day's fishing and you might need to find some effective wrist calisthenics.
