Hey guys, haven't been on in a while. I was the internet yesterday looking for a solution to my problem. I have a bass raider 10e that I fish out of. It has a transom mount on the back and a front transom mount. I usually use the front mount for my minn kota 55 and just steer it by hand. I have always wanted a foot controlled trolling motor, but it just doesn't work for my setup, unless I spend $450 on a Motorguide Bulldog. While I was searching the web, I came across the "troll king". It basically is a foot pedal for a hand controlled trolling motor. I was wondering if anyone has experience with it and just your general thought on which route I should go. I will supply a link, but I do want to say that I am not advertising for them, nor do I have any affiliation with them. If anyone has any better ideas, please let me know.

There are a couple vids on how it work, just not sure if it would work as well as advertised.

I think I know what this is but not certain. My virus software won't let me open the website you provided stating it has a Trojan on it.

If it's what I think it is, they are popular on Toledo Bend, lots of hand held trolling motors there and they use these to swap them to more of a foot control. I've never heard anything bad about them. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks for the info, it's basically a foot pedal that hooks to a hand controlled trolling motor by a metal rod. It also has an on/off button in the foot pedal so when you put your foot on it, it goes at whatever speed you have it set on. I happen to have a pond prowler type boat where a conventional foot controlled trolling motor just wont work, this may be the next best thing. I'll give it a shot and report back. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same predicament as me.

The pice is a bit more then I thought it needs to be for what it is,,,, but,,,,,, if it works near as good as the videos it's would be a big help.  I've used hand control and you can get very good at it but nothing as easy as using a foot control IMHO.  This sure looks like it would be a nice addition for those boats that can't mount a foot control.

It sure is. Mine just got delivered today and install is very easy. One advantage to them is that if you have a small boat like the one in the video, when you put the trolling motor, battery, and yourself in the front of the boat, the boat pushes through the water like a barge. This makes for terrible steering and overall performance. With this, I attatch the trolling motor wires to the foot pedal and the pedal cables to the battery. Since the cables are so long, I can put the battery all the way to the back of the boat. Also, because of how the foot pedal attatches to the motor, it also backs be up to the center of the boat. This really helps with performance. Lastly, even though you can ride around pressing the button on the pedal, it also has a switch on the side that you can access with your foot. With this button on, it turns the motor on to whatever speed you have the motor set at. If you are making a run to the other side of the lake (trolling motor only lake), you dont have to keep constany pressure on the pedal, just steer wherever you need to go.
