This is where I tried a few casts yesterday. Within 10 minutes my line guide was freezing up. 20 minutes and my hands couldn't feel much. Fished for about 45 minutes and called it. No bites but I had to get out.
I can say I found one more place where a NuTech will  not hang up. An ice shelf.

Yup, that's all the snow I wanna see this year.  lo It was around 22 here this morning. That's the coldest we've seen in a while. BTW, spray a little silicone on the rod guides before you go out. It helps. -Jim

Brrr, and I'm complaining about 47 degrees here on the Texas Coast.

Keep that crap up there. Got to 39 this morning but will be mid 50's any minute

Awww come on guys, momma always taught me to share!
Good tip on the silicone. I was trying to work a jig nice and slow. Every time a little ice chunk hit a guide I thought I was getting a strike.

I remember it all too well cojab! In CT I switched over to salmon fishing when it was cold enough to freeze guides like that! Bassin in that much cold is almost useless in my opinion. We would get out and ice fish once or twice a winter to hold us over but the lmbs weren't much for biting anything with water temps in the low 30's.

I hope I never ever see that white car-rap again! ~gf

Well all I can say is......WE STILL GOT OPEN WATER EVERYWHERE AND IT'S THE FIRST WEEK OF DEC!  ~c~  ~roflmao  ~c~

Oh and we got 17 inches of SNOW a week ago and.... IT'S ALL GONE ALREADY.  ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

I live in Elizabeth. Its a small town between Denver and Colorado Springs. Just east of Castle Rock if you are familiar with that area.
Yeah, I dont even go through the Coors tour anymore. Go right to the bar for a couple of free beers and then the gift shop for some Coors swag!

Ahhh, remember the Broadmoor well, biggest gun show in Colorado at the time, they tore it down and rebuilt it. Do they still limit you to 3 beers at Coor's, they did it because they got tired of carrying the students back to the dorms from the School of Mines, it's onlt about 5 or so blocks from the brewery. A friend and I climbed the butte they picture on Coor's labels, got to the top and found the road from the back way and the remains of a restaurant that had burned down.
There used to be an A&W Root Beer stand near Golden, great food.
Ohhh the stories, oh well, there are folks of the gentle gender that come here so I won't go there. lo

That looks miserable!  Here's a shot from yesterday's fishing here in MS, conditions weren't quite as bad here.   lo

Rodney, yeah I think they do limit you to 2 or 3 beets. Probably a good idea! About the only time I go there is when some old friends come to town. They have done the tour and pretty much just like the gift shop now so we just grab a couple beers and shop now. Sounds like you have some good memories.

Scott, i am jealous. Fishing in December in shorts! You wouldnt want to see how many layers I had on!
