Now that fishing is done here in MD for me this year I finally got time to finish the trailer.  Trailer had been re-painted, re-bunked, re-wired, re-lighted and will be re-shoed shortly.  New 7' bunks, new LED lights all around and a new harness.  All the harnesses I got have a different flat four connector so I need to correct that.
I cleaned, sanded and re-painted the PVC boat guides with raised lights.  It really looks good compared to what it looked like when I got it.  I still have some work to do on the winch stand and put another winch on it.  This trailer will be for the Ouachita 16 foot flat bottom which will be for fishing some Baltimore City, electric motor only reservoirs instead of using the 20 HP limited lake in PA.
Next decision is what tires and wheels to put on it.  Presently has 5.30X12 on mis-match wheels but I think the boat sits a little high on the trailer.  I am thinking about going to a 18.5X8.5X8, Load Range B, which holds 770 lbs each and drops the trailer almost two inches.  With up to 6 Group 29/31 batteries, and still meet the weight limits for the hull.  The hull, after some repair, should be able to support all the electrics and still handle up to two LARGE fisherman.
First picture is from the rear where you can see the cleaned up and repainted PVC bow guides and new LED lights.  You can also see the new bunk hardware.

Next pic is a better one of the new bunks and hardware.  Still need to finish wiring the trailer.  LED side markers and ground wires for the elevated tail lights are in the picture.

Last but not least is the tongue and winch stand.  The winch stand needs to be modified a little so it is movable.  The serial number plate also needs to be moved to accomplish that.  A new tongue jack and winch also need to be purchased.  Still have not figured out what tires and wheels will go on it.

A fellow came over today to buy an outboard I had for sale.  Took a little while because he wanted to hear it run.  He even brought his own barrel to test run it in.  Then I had to do an errand up to Hanover, PA which is only a little over a half hour away from here.  It has been raining here just about all day.  Now that the outboard is gone I can go pick up the Ranger bass boat I bought. One of these days I will have time to do some projects, lol.  Pictures will happen tomorrow when I get back off the road for work.  Honest.

My Buddy Bob has always said that I need another project, lol.  I am slowly cleaning out the garage and basement of some projects that will need to wait.  Present projects are the Ouachita jon boat, its trailer and the Ranger 360V that I haven't picked up yet.  I have two bucket seats to replace the bench seat and a new cover for the boat and motor sitting in the garage.  The cover will go with me when I pick the boat up this week sometime.  I also have to install electronics, two Humminbird Helix 5s sitting in the garage also.  I plan to accumulate the mounts, transducers and power wires so I can use them on both boats, one at a time of course.
Your boat is looking great.  Believe me I know that sweat equity that goes into making them look and perform well.

Hopefully I can get some help to put the Ouachita back on the trailer this weekend.  It will be going to my Brother-in-Law's sometime to have the transom aluminum replaced because the last owner decided to use pressure treated plywood.  Pressure treated plywood and aluminum are not compatible with each other.  I understand the copper sulfate in the pressure treated wood starts a chemical reaction and leaves a whole lot of small holes right through the aluminum.  That is what happened with mine.
I took the Grumman reservoir rig off Craigslist and put the batteries in the garage last weekend.  I ma still getting text messages from people "offshore" that were interested in buying it and have their shipper pick it up.  Yeah right!  Sorry people but if any of you are real the scammers have killed that for ya.  Back on Craigslist and three forums with other parts installed and back to the original price I listed it.
Once the Ouachita is back on the trailer I can park the Ranger I just picked up in that spot.  I have to take it somewhere and have the trailer inspected so that I can register it.  My trailer I just redid cost me over $200.00 to get inspected, tagged and titled here in Maryland.  That needs to get done in the next 30 days so that zoning doesn't give me a hard time here.  Right now it has a Pennsylvania temporary tag for me to bring it home.  That is good for 30 days.
Here I go again!
