Ok just to not get the Asian Carp in the Red River more  I was going ot post this one there . nMaybe Jim can post his here also.
Ok we were talking about Sheepheads and so here are what the fresh water ones look like up here


Yes they eat them up here soem folks love them.

It's da fresh water drum.... This fish has broke a bunch of bass fisherman's hearts on tournament day. Set the hook into one of these and you think you have a giant In south Louisiana they fish for them during the "run" not sure if that's the spawn? But the eat the heck out of them, however in South Louisiana there isn't anything that doesn't get eat

Them fresh water drums get big too and are a lot of fun to catch on a UL. I've hooked some 30 to 40 LB ones while Crappie fishing on a 1/16 oz crappie jig. Fought them till they straightened out the hook.

Fishing Baldwin Lake, in southern Illinois, I'd catch one of these every other cast, on crankbaits bumping the bottom.
They are a great fight, though, so I wasn't mad.

This is a juvenile saltwater black drum, it is just short about 12, 13 inches.  14 inches is the minimum on the slot, max is 30 inches, and one can be over 52 inches, which is around the State record.



This is a mature or Bull Black Drum, about 36 inches give or take.



They don't have teeth, and as you can see the short drum look a lot like sheepshead.
