Had the whole lake to myself. Started early at 0730 and fished until noon. 2nd cast with the LSCR, I hooked a nice 2lber that came off at the bank. Other than that, I got skunked. Lake Level is high, water has cleared up and had lots of activity with bait fish, but not even the catfish were biting.

Wow, tough day, but I bet it was enough just to get that new rod bent.   ;)  Thanks for the report.

When I saw this, I thought you took a trip to Polk County Florida.  There is an Eagle lake there that I used to catch a lot of big bass at.

I wish P. The lakes around here are a bust most of the time. You have to travel 2-3 hours to get something decent.

That would make it hard to get out and fish to much. :'( :'( Lots of road trips. ;D

Don't feel bad, most of the places around here are only filled with little panfish stuff, once in a great while you might catch a red or black drum, but it is close and cheap which is why I go there.

When I actually get to some of the better places it is like going to Disneyland.   ~roflmao

Agreed. lo I have better days off now and will be doing some traveling. I have plenty of lakes back home in Central Kansas to fish and the larger lakes here in Oklahoma.
