Folks I just want to re-emphasize why I require entries to contests, to put the contest name in the subject line of the email, when you email your entry.

My email address is all over the site, in thousands of posts and available to anyone that wants it. I get roughly 5-600 spam emails (sometimes a thousand) a day because of this.

I have my filters set pretty high, and occasionally entries will end up in my spam folder. When this happens and I find them I mark a sender as safe. But to look through this many spam posts is nearly impossible. I have a search feature that I use. I can search my spam folder. So I search through my spam folder for the contest name. This lets me find entries that inadvertently end up in spam. However, if you do not put the contest name in the email subject line, I can't find it, and you don't get entered.

ALSO:

I require you to put your screen in the body (text) of the email along with your answer. This is simply because I don't have time to bounce everyone's email address with the site to find out who you are. And many of you don't use the same email as you did to sign up on the site.

So their you have it...

Please always put the contest name in the subject line of your entries and your screen name in the body (text) of the entry.

Mike I can't imagine how hard it must be to run the site as well as you and Laurie do. That's not a lot to ask for such great opportunities.  Thanks for the reminder.
